    Funeral services will be 1904 at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maternity BVW Church, Bourbonnais, for Eugene L. Benoit, 68, RR3, Bourbonnais. Mr. Benoit died at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital following an extend illness.
    Mr. Benoit was a lifelong resident of Bourbonnais and farmed until his retirement in 1958. He was a real estate developer and owner of Indian Acres Subdivision, and former owner of Liberty Laundry in Bourbonnais.
    He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, third degree; Catholic Order of Foresters; Kankakee County Farm Bureau and Maternity Holy Name Society.
    He was born March 24, 1904 in Bourbonnais, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe D. Benoit.
    In 1924, he married the former Edna Belisle, who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. John F. Mason, Mrs. Cas Daucanski, and Mrs. Richard Hildebrand, all of Bourbonnais; sons, Vernon of Los Angeles, Calif., Wayne of Centralis, Mo., and Stephen of Bourbonnais; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert J. Sr., of Bourbonnais, Dolore of Plainville, Inc., Ray J. of Kankakee, Robert of Rensselaer, Inc., and Lambert of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Clarence Owen of Bourbonnais, Mrs. Dorothy Hebbert of Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. Lionel Lanous of Manteno, Mrs. Fred Grasser of Bourbonnais and Mrs. George Hatting of Kankakee.
    The concelebrated mass fill be celebrated by the Rev. Harold Devereaux, pastor of Maternity Church, assisted by the Rev. Armond Matthew, oblate father.
    Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.

    Edna L. Benoit, 91, of Bourbonnais, died Monday (July 7, 1997) at Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home in Clifton.

    Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.

    She was born Oct. 20, 1905 in Bourbonnais Township, the daughter of Felix and Mina Mathew Belisle.

    Her husband, Eugene L. Benoit, whom she married Nov. 27, 1924 at St. George Catholic Church in St. George, died May 13, 1972.

    Deceased are one son, Vernon ''Tex'' Benoit; one sister, Marie Rivard; two brothers, Leroy and Leonard Belisle.

    She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality and Catholic Daughters of America at her church. She was a former member of Bradley Bourbonnais Senior Citizens Group.

    Mrs. Anna Mathews Dies Friday Morn

    Mrs. Anna (Lebow) Mathew, 78, widow of the late Alfred Mathew, and a resident of Remington, died Friday evening at 8:30 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital, in Lafayette where she had been a patient since Dec. 5. Born in St. George, Ill., on July 6, 1860, she was married to Mr. Mathew 62 years ago. or many years they lived on a farm south o Wolcott, and after Mr. Mathew's death, she went to Remington live. She was a member of the Sacred Hert Catholic church at Remington. She leaves 11 children, Levi, Alfred, Williaf, Oscar, Arthur, Amos, Clarence and Herman, all of Wolcott; Meddie, of Chicago; Mrs. Mina Belisle, of St. George, Ill., and Mrs. Cordelia Guimond, Menteno, Ill.
    Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church, Remington. Burial in the Catholic cemetery at Remington.
