    Donald Wayne Hicks, age 78, beloved husband, father, and granddaddy died on October 5, 2018. He was born to Artsel and Virgie (Johnson) Hicks in Bristol, VA on February 22, 1940. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965 in Niagara Falls, NY where he met and married Karen (Haseley) Hicks on August 6, 1966. In 1971, they moved to Bristol, TN where he was employed and later retired from Ball Corporation. He enjoyed car racing, hunting, and golfing, as well as RV traveling and Airstream camping. His parents and his beloved daughter, Melinda Jenkins, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Rebecca Whittemore (Matthew), and sons Jonathan Hicks (Renita), Christopher Hicks, and son-in-law H. Neff Jenkins; grandchildren Luke, Kelly, and Avery Jenkins, Colin and Mallory Whittemore; and brother Jack Hicks (Marian).

    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on October 20, 2018 at Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church located at 3225, Avoca Road, Bristol, TN 37620.

    SANBORN - St. Peter's Lutheran Church
    was the setting for the Saturday (Aug. 6, 1966)
    wedding of Miss Karen Elvira Haseley to Donald
    W. Hicks. Rev. Luther Knauff performed
    the double-ring ceremony uniting the daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Haseley, 3109 Lockport
    Road, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
    Hicks, Bristol, Tenn.
    The bride was escorted to the altar by her
    father. She wore a white peau de soie gown
    fashioned with scooped neckline, fitted bodice,
    long sleeves and enhanced with Venise lace.
    The dome skirt featured a detachable chapel
    length train. A cluster of blossoms secured
    her chapel length veil of silk illusion. She carried
    a bouquet, of white roses and ferns with
    a red rose center.
    MRS. RALPH EWALD, sister of the bride
    was matron of honor. Miss Judy Troyer was
    maid of honor, and Mrs. Paul Beecher, Miss
    Jean Haseley and Miss Sharon Shea were
    bridesmaids. They wore identical long gowns
    of white chiffon, with sleeveless bodice, accented
    with a rose cumberbund and appliques.
    Nieces of the bride, Janet Walck and Carol
    Buerger were flower girls.
    Jack L. Hicks was best man to his brother.
    Brothers of the bride, Howard N. Haseley
    Nelson F. Haseley ushered along with David
    L. French and Albert V. Mendoza.
    An evening dinner and reception was held
    at the Twilight-Golf Restaurant.
    After a wedding trip to Cape Cod the couple
    will live in Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn.

    Harvey H. Haseley, of Sanborn, NY, entered into eternal rest and his heavenly home on Saturday March 1, 2003, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 89 years.
    He was born on May 29, 1913, in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY, the son of Anthony and Hulda [ Kroening ] Haseley. At an early age, he was raised by the Fahrnwald Family, Fred, Rose and Phillip, Emma, on the family farm, in Sanborn, now, the Power View Farm, well known as a prize winning farm for raising Registered Holstein Cattle, grain and hay, where he has worked all his life. He was a Charter Member of the Niagara County Milk Producer's. Mr. Haseley was a lifetime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Walmore.
    He was predeceased, by his wife of 67 years, Elvira M. [ Fedeler ], who died November 11, 2002.
    Surviving are his children, Lois Burkhardt [ late Sam ] , of Lockport, Niagara County, NY; Helen Buerger [ William ] of Sanborn; Roy Haseley [ Eileen ] of Sanborn; Margaret Ewald [ Ralph ] of Ransomville; Howard Haseley [ late Linda ] of Sanborn; Karen Hicks [ Donald ] of Bluff City, TN; Nelson Haseley [ Barbara ], of Sanborn; a sister Irma Haseley, of Sanborn; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
    He was the brother of the late Edwin Haseley, Hilda Wendt and Frances Walck.
    The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 7- 9 P.M. Thursday and 1 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. Friday.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, with the Rev. Bruce Gamache, officiating.
    Burial will in St. Peter's Cemetery

    Elvira Margaret [ Fedeler ] Haseley, entered into eternal rest and her heavenly home on Monday, November 11, 2002, at home surrounded by her loving husband and family at the age of 92 years.
    She was born on March 12, 1910, the daughter of Frederick and Martha [ Gienapp ] Fedeler, in Colton, SD, at the age of six her family moved to Waverly, IA, where she attended parochial school and was confirmed on April 5, 1925. She attended Wartburg College in Waverly, graduating in 1930.
    Mrs. Haseley moved to the Sanborn, NY, area in 1930, where she taught at the St. Peter's Lutheran School, from 1930 to 1935. She married her husband Harvey Haseley on June 29, 1935, and has helped run the family farm known as Power-View Farm, with her husband and family.
    Mrs. Haseley was a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Walmore, where she was the church organist for 30 years.
    Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Harvey Haseley; her children, Lois Burkhardt [ late Sam ] , of Lockport, Niagara County, NY; Helen Buerger [ William ] of Sanborn; Roy Haseley [ Eileen ] of Sanborn; Margaret Ewald [ Ralph ] of Ransomville; Howard Haseley [ late Linda ] of Sanborn; Karen Hicks [ Donald ] of Bluff City, TN; Nelson Haseley [ Barbara], of Sanborn; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; five sisters, Hilda Fedeler; Florence Fedeler; Martha Graeser [Virgil ]; Lorena Arns [ late Victor ] from Waverly, IA; Edna Polenz [ Donald ], of Sierra Vista; AZ; her sister-in-law Irma Haseley, of Sanborn; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman [ Wanda ] Fedeler.
    The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 1 - 4 & 7 - 9 P.M. Wednesday.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 am, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, with the Rev. Bruce Gamache, officiating.
    Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.

    Mrs. Haseley Dies at 71
    SANBORN-Mrs. Hulda A. Haseley, 71, of Lockport Rd., died Thursday (July 30, 1959) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, Jan. 27, 1888, she was the daughter of August and Augusta DeVantier Kroening. She married Anthony Haseley 49 years ago. They made their home for many years in Tuscarora Rd., Town of Niagara. For the last seven years, they had lived in their present home in Lockport Rd.
    Mrs. Haseley was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore.
    Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Walck, Lockport; Mrs. Max Haseley, Lewiston, and Mrs. Norman Wendt, Sanborn; a son, Harvey Haseley, also Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Albert Haseley, Niagara Falls, and two brothers, Philip and Albert Kroening, both on Sanborn; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at the home, Lockport Rd., at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and at 3 at St. Peter's Church, the Rev. Donald G. Rehkopf officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

She is survived by children, Mrs. Harvey (Elvira) Haseley, Sanborn, NY., Miss Hilda Fedeler, Waverly, Miss Florence Fedeler, Waverly, Mrs. Don (Edna) Polenz, Waukesha, Wisc., Mrs. Virgil (Martha) Graeser, Waverly, Mrs. Victor (Lorena) Arms, Waverly, one son Norman, Colton, SD., 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, by her parents, her husband in December, 1963, and one sister, Mrs, George Niemann. Mrs. Fedeler was a relatively long time resident of 49 years, and lived on a farm north of Waverly. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in St Paul's Lutheran Church wth burial in St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the family home in Waverly.
