    Norman J. Wendt, a retired insurance agent, died Thursday (March 16, 2000) in Mount View Health Facility, Lockport. He was 81.
    Wendt was a native of Sanborn.
    He worked for a time for the Wurlitzer Plant in North Tonawanda and the Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls.
    Wendt then became an agent with the Nationwide Insurance Co. and retired in 1980 after 30 years.
    He was an active member of St. Andrew's Church in Pekin, serving as an elder, a trustee and as a member of the Lutheran Layman's League.
    His wife, the former Hilda F. Haseley, died in 1981.
    Wendt is survived by three sons, Edward J. of North Tonawanda; Frank P. and David N.; two daughters, Elizabeth C. LaRock and Judy E. Dawson, both of Ransomville; a brother, Edmund R.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery

    SANBORN - Hilda Florence (Haseley) Wendt, 66, of 5322 Town Line Road died unexpectedly Friday (Sept. 25, 1981) in Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls. A native of the Town of Niagara, she moved to Sanborn in 1940. She was a member of. St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. She is survived by her husband, Norman J. Wendt; four sons, Edward J. Wendt, Franklin P. Wendt and David N. Wendt of Sanborn and Howard D. Wendt of York, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Elizabeth) La Rock of Ransomville and Mrs. John (Judith) Dawson of Lockport; a brother Harvey H. Haseley of Sanborn; two sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Frances) Walck of Lockport and Mrs. Max (Irma) Haseley of Niagara Falls; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Matthew. Lutheran Church, Eggert Drive, North Tonawanda with the Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer officiating. Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.     A native of Bergholtz, she
    had resided in Pekln since 1890.
    She was a lifelong member of
    St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.
    She was the wife of the late
    Edward A. Wendt, who died in
    1957. Survivors include three
    sons, Alfred a., Norman J.,
    and Edmund R. Wendt, and a
    sister, Mrs. Fred (Rachel) Van
    DeWalter, all of Pekin. Ten
    grandchildren and 12 great
    grandchildren also survive.

He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. His wife, Hulba (sic) Kroening Haseley, died in 1959.He is survived by a son, Harvey H.     Mrs. Haseley Dies at 71
    SANBORN-Mrs. Hulda A. Haseley, 71, of Lockport Rd., died Thursday (July 30, 1959) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Niagara, Jan. 27, 1888, she was the daughter of August and Augusta DeVantier Kroening. She married Anthony Haseley 49 years ago. They made their home for many years in Tuscarora Rd., Town of Niagara. For the last seven years, they had lived in their present home in Lockport Rd.
    Mrs. Haseley was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore.
    Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Walck, Lockport; Mrs. Max Haseley, Lewiston, and Mrs. Norman Wendt, Sanborn; a son, Harvey Haseley, also Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Albert Haseley, Niagara Falls, and two brothers, Philip and Albert Kroening, both on Sanborn; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at the home, Lockport Rd., at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and at 3 at St. Peter's Church, the Rev. Donald G. Rehkopf officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
