    GILBERT IRVIN WALCK, age 82, of Sanborn, NY, passed into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior in his home on May 4, 2020, while being cared for by his loving family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on February 23, 1938, to the late Edward and Florence Walck.
    On October 19, 1963, Gilbert married Carol Joyce (Pfohl) Walck, his wife of 56 years. Gilbert was a life long, self employed dairy farmer in Niagara County which included a herd of dairy cows that spanned 51 years. He served on various agricultural committees which included the Farm Service Agency for USDA, Niagara County Farm Bureau and as a Director for Wendt's Dairy. He was an exempt member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Company and had served in the United States National Guard.
    Throughout his life Gilbert enjoyed bowling in the Sanborn Businessmen League, watching his favorite baseball team the New York Yankees, deer hunting at the cabin, and riding in his golf cart to check up on what the boys were doing, on the farm. One of his greatest passions was his yearly trip to the Indianapolis 500 race with his dear friends.
    Coffee with friends at Marsh's store and Sunday lunch at the Jetport after church were part of his weekly routine he so enjoyed. Gilbert had a very outgoing personality and no matter the event, always knew someone and took time for a conversation. He was a life long active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where he faithfully attended weekly worship services.
    Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Carol Walck, and three children, Randy J. (Amy) Walck, Darla J. (Randall) Kroening-Retzlaff and Gary K. (Jill Haseley) Walck; six grandchildren, Tyler (Laura) Kroening, Matthew Kroening, Brock Kroening, Sara, Katie and Luke Walck; a brother Gerald (Kathleen) Walck of Sanborn, NY, a sister Janice (late Martin) Wick of Schwenksville, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Gilbert was predeceased by his broter Arnold Walck; sister Norine (Walck) Wendt; brother-in-law Bertrum Wendt; and son-in-law Mark D. Kroening. Gilbert was the son-in-law of the late Wallace and Edna (Schimschack) Pfohl.
    Due to the current circumstances, a private service was held May 8th. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Thomas Thorstad, officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made in Gilbert's name to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or St. Peter's Lutheran School, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, or Niagara Hospice. Arrangement were made through the DuBois Funeral Home.

    SANBORN - Edward P. Walck, 71, of 2550 Saunders Settlement Road, died Saturday (April 12, 1975) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. A native and lifelong resident of Sanborn, Mr. Walck retired in 1969 from the National Grinding Wheel Co. of North Tonawanda where he had worked as a molder for 30 years. He had served as trustee and elder of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, where he had been a lifelong member. He was a member of Sanborn Fire. Co. He is survived by his wife, Florence; three sons, Arnold E. Walck of Pendleton, and Gilbert I. and Jerauld F. Walck, both of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Bertrum (Norine) Wendt of Sanborn and Mrs. Martin (Janice) Wick of Forty-Fort. Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Martin (Viola) Pfhol (sic) of Sanborn; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Harold L. Baum officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.     Wallace "Wally" Pfohl, 82, who operated the family farm on Lockport Road and worked on it even after his retirement, died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
    He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
    Pfohl was a member of the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service, Niagara County Farm Bureau, and had served on the Agricultural Districting Advisory Committee. In addition, he was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as trustee and on various project committees.
    He played trumpet with bands, including the Bergholz German Band, with whom he traveled with to Europe, Canada and through the U.S.
    Pfohl enjoyed cars, and often was seen driving his 1948 General Motors Corporation truck around town, as well as in parades.
    His wife, the former Edna Schimschack, died in 1993.
    Survivors include a daughter, Carol Walck; a foster son, Harry Dickenson; a sister, Erna Stenzel of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery

    WHEATFIELD-Edna (Schimschack) Pfohl, 76, of Lockport Road, died. Friday (Feb. 12, 1993), in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Town of Lewiston. She was born in Wheatfield on Feb. 2, 1917, to August and Hulda (Voelker) Schimschack. After marrying Wallace "Wally" Pfohl on Oct. 19, 1942, she and her husband worked on the family's dairy farm. Mrs. Pfohl traveled with her husband and five bands, including the Bergholz German Band, throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, and an active member of the Women of the Church for several years.     Walmore Farmer Called by Death
    Anthony Pfuhl Lives Only Few Hours After Stroke
    WALMORE. Jan.10.-Anthony Pfuhl, 54 years old, well known Walmore farmer died yesterday in the same house in which he was born on the Lockport road. Mr. Pfuhl was seized with a stroke yesterday while attending a meeting at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran church here. He was removed to his home and expired at 11 o'clock last night.
    Mr. Pfuhl was a son of the late Ferdinand and Augusta (sic) Pfuhl, pioneer settlers of the Walmore district. He was a prominent member of St. Peter's church and active in Walmore village affairs.
    Funeral services will be held from the family home on Sunday, January 13, at 2 o'clock, and at 2:30 from St. Peter's church. The Rev. Edward Grabau will officiate. Interment will be in Walmore cemetery.
    Mr. Pfuhl is survived by his wife, Elsie Haseley Pfuhl; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Walck and Mrs. Theodore Walck, both of Sanborn; two sons, Hubert and Ivan (sic), both at home; two brothers, Ferdinand Pfuhl, of Wolcottsville, and John Pfuhl, of Walmore; three sisters, Mrs. William DeVantier and Mrs. Charles Haseley, of Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Anna Koening (sic), of Pekin, and three grandchildren.

    PFUHL RITES HELD
    Services for Lockport Road Resident Are Largely Attended.
    SANBORN, Jan. 15.-The funeral of Anthony Pfuhl, age 54, which was held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon from his home, Lockport road, and at 2:30 at St. Peter's Lutheran church, was one of the largest ever held in this section.
    The bearers included Fred Walck, Adolph De Vantier (sic), Hubert Haseley, Tony Walck, Albert Haseley and Albert Pfuhl. Flower bearers included Edna Walck, Irma Walck, Mayrian (sic) Haseley, Dorothy Haseley, Irving Walck, Max Pfuhl, Philip Haseley and Norman De Vantier (sic).
    Rev. Edward Graubau (sic) was assisted in the service by Rev. Alfred Walck, of St. Paul, MN Interment was in Walmore cemetery.

    A native of the Town of
    Lewiston, Mrs. Pfohl
    celebrated her 60th wedding
    aniversary Feb. 17, 1969 with
    her husband, Philip C. Pfohl,
    who died June 14, 1979.
    She was a lifelong member
    of St. Peter's Evangelical
    Lutheran Church. She attended
    the Christian Day School and
    was also a member of the
    Women's Missionary league of
    the church.
    Survlvng are two sons,
    Gustav Phohl of Lewiston and
    Wallace Phohl of Wheatfield; a
    daugher, Mrs. Carl (Erna)
    Stenzel of Wheatfleld; a sister,
    Mrs. Louis (Laura) Haselev of
    Lockport; five grandchildren
    and four great-grandchildren..
    Funeral services wil be held
    Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's
    Evangelical Lutheran Church,
    with the Rev. Harold L. Baum
    officiating.
    Burial will be In St. Peter's
    Lutheran Cemetery.

    and Jones Funeral Home,
    Hoover Road,from2 to 5 and7
    to 9 p.m. today and. Thursday.

    William A. Schimschack

    William A. Schimschack, 60, of Washington St., Bergholtz, died yesterday afternoon in the Memorial Hospital, Niagara Falls. He was a life-long resident of the Town of Wheatfield, a member of the Holy Ghost Church and the Bergholtz Fire Company. For 42 years he was employed at the Carborundum Company’s plant in Niagara Falls. Surviving are his wife, Magdalena, nee Voelker; three sons, Alvin and Donald of Bergholtz and Wilbert of Sanborn; three daughters, Mrs. Norman DeVantier and Mrs. Lewis Heuer of Bergholtz and Mrs. Wallace Pfohl of Sanborn; five grandchildren and two brothers, Herman of Bergholtz and Fred of St. Johnsburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the residence and at 2:30 p.m. from the Holy Ghost Church. The Rev. Victor Dahlke will officiate and interment will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery.

    daughter, Mrs. Lewis Heuer, 2435 Washington St., Town of Wheatfield,
    Wednesday (Sept. 30, 1970) after a lengthy illness.
    Mrs. Schimschack was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield and a
    member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.
    Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Irma) DeVantier, Mrs. Wallace
    (Edna) Pfohl and Mrs. Lewis (Eunice) Heuer, all of the Town of Wheatfield;
