    Notes:

    Mr. Donald Haseley, of Port Washington, passed away with his family by his side at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. He was 93 years old. Don was born in Kirchhayn, WI, on July 4, 1928, son of Eugene Haseley and Agnes Richert Haseley. The family moved to the Port Washington area, where Donald graduated from Port Washington High School with the class of 1946. After high school, Don served his country in the United States Army, playing trumpet in the 421st Army Band. He was honorably discharged in 1951. On October 9, 1954, Don married Lillian Wagner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Barton. The couple settled in Port Washington to start their family. The couple were married for 64 years before Lillian preceded him in death in 2019. Don was the proud owner and operator of the Gamble's Store in Port Washington for many years. Later, he worked for Schmidt Bros. Dodge until his retirement. He was very active in his community, where he was a former member of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, the Port Washington Police and Fire Commission, and the Port Washington Kiwanis Club. Don was an active member of the American Legion Van Ells-Schanen Post 82 where he was a post commander (twice) and also a member of Post 5373 Veterans of Foreign Wars. For over 60 years, Don proudly served as Bugler for local honor guards, playing Taps whenever called upon for fellow veteran's funerals. Don is a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. Don is survived by his six children: Jeanne (Joe) Kunzelmann of Mt. Juliet, TN, Donald "Jim" (Maribeth) Haseley of Saugatuck, MI, Lori (Mike) Lanser of Sheboygan, Richard (Mary Kay) Haseley of Windemere, FL, Diane (Mike) Trowbridge of Hartford, and Robin (Jay) Hommel of Greer, SC. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his siblings Nancy (Paul) Swatek and Eugene Haseley both of Lake Geneva, a sister-in-law Bernice Haseley of Port Washington, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lillian, three sisters and two brothers. Private family funeral services will be held. He will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Port Washington.

    Lillian Haseley, of Port Washington, passed away surrounded by her loving family in the early morning hours of Friday, May 10, 2019 at Heritage Health Services in Port Washington. She was 90 years old. Lillian was born in Johnsburg, WI, on August 19, 1928, daughter of Corbin Wagner and Leona Krause Wagner. She grew up in the Town of Barton, and attended school in West Bend. On October 9, 1954 she married Donald Haseley at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Barton. The couple moved to Port Washington to start their family. Mrs. Haseley was a member of St. John XXIII Parish (St. Mary’s) and was is a former member of the church choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the “Chicks with Sticks” knitting club at the Port Washington Senior Center. She enjoyed golfing, knitting and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Lillian is survived by her husband Donald of Port Washington, six children: Jeanne (Joe) Kunzelmann of Mt. Juliet, TN, Donald “Jim” (Maribeth) Haseley of Saugatuck, MI, Lori (Mike) Lanser of Sheboygan, Richard (Mary Kay) Haseley of Windemere, FL, Diane (Mike) Trowbridge of Germantown, and Robin (Jay) Hommel of Greer, SC. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, John Wagner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters: Marie Haendal, Kathleen Mehlos, and Joan Koch. Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 14th at 2 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside over the service. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 12 noon until the time of services.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is honored to serve the Haseley family. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
