    Norman A. Mueller, 84, who worked as a machine tender at Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Niagara Falls for 47 years, died Wednesday (Aug. 14, 2002) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. He had resided in St. Mary's Nursing Home, Niagara Falls, for six weeks prior to his death. He was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools. Mueller served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a flight instructor.
    He worked at Kimberly-Clark until he retired in 1982. Mueller enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and taxidermy. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and Sunday school class in Wheatfield. He was a past trustee there as well. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, the former Lydia S. DeVantier of the Town of Niagara; two sons, Frederick of Camarillo, Calif., and Donald of Moon Township, Pa.; a daughter, Carolyn Root of Tulerosa, NM; six grandchildren-; and three great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

    Norman A. Mueller, age 84, of Lockport Rd. Town of Niagara, died Wednesday, Aug 14, 2002 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, after being a resident in St Mary's Nursing Home for six weeks, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on January 7, 1918 to Philip and Augusta (Wolf) Mueller.
    He is a US Army veteran, serving from 1942-45, in which he was a flight instructor with the WW II Training Service. He was employed as a machine tender by Kimberly Clark, (later changing it's name to Cellu, then Nitec) in Niagara Falls for 47 years retiring in 1982. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling, and doing taxidermy. A member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church & Sunday School class in Walmore, where he is also a past trustee. He was united in marriage to Lydia S. Devantier on Feb 15, 1941, and their marriage was blessed with three children, Frederick (Gloria) Mueller of Camarillo, CA, Donald (Tillie) Mueller of Moon Township, PA, Carolyn Root of Tulerosa, NM, six grandchildren, Kristen, James, Kim, Jason, Jerad, Nathan, three great grandchildren, Gavin, Jacob, and Emma Grace and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, five brothers, Paul, Henry, Mark, Albert, and Daniel and two sisters, Louise Beutel & Helen Mueller.
    Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Rd (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Gamache on Saturday (Aug 17) at 11;00 AM in St Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Interment in St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wheatfiled.
    Memorials may be made to St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church or School or to a charity of your choice.

    Lydia S. Mueller, a homemaker, died Saturday (April 12, 2003) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. She was 81.
    The former Lydia DeVantier was born in the Town of Niagara and attended local schools.
    She enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad, and also enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed traveling to the family hunting camp, "Mueller's Magic Mountain," with her husband and family.
    She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and church activities as a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wheatfield.
    Mrs. Mueller is survived by her husband of 62 years, Norman A.; two sons, Frederick of Camarillo, Calif., and Donald of Moon Township, Pa.; a daughter, Carolyn Root of Alamogordo, NM; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery

    Philip A. Mueller, 91, of 9859 Cayuga Drive, a lifelong resident of the LaSalle area and a former papermaker, died Tuesday (May 11, 1965). Born in the former Village
    of LaSalle Mr. Mueller worked 57 years in the paper making industry here,vhaving been employed at the old Pettibone Paper Co., Niagara Wallpaper Co., Defiance Paper Co. and the International Paper Co. He retired in 1952 at the age of 78.

    Mr. Mueller was an avid hunter and fisherman during his earlier years. He was a member of St James Lutheran Church in Bergholz, and for many years was active in the church choir and the band in which he played the clarinet. mr. Mueller is Mr. Mueller is survived by two daughters, Helen at home, and Mrs. Rudolph (Louise) Beutel, of Sanborn, six sons, Paul, Albert and Norman of Niagara Falls;
    Daniel Mueller of Lewiston; Rev. Henry A. Mueller Mazomania, Wis., and Rev. Marcus Mueller, Altamont, 23 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
    Rites on Friday
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, with Rev, Robert Lehman, officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday, and from noon Friday. The family said contributions
    to world missions services would be accepted as tributes.

    PICKS UP LIVE WIRE AND MEETS INSTANT DEATH
    Tuscarora Road Man Electrocuted by 2,200 volt Charge on Lawn of Home
    Albert W. Devantier, 52 years old, of the Tuscarora road, R. F. D. Route No. I, was electrocuted this morning at 10:25 o'clock when he picked up a wire carrying 2,200 volts of electricity which had fallen across the lawn of his home. Falls firemen answered a call to the Deventier (sic) home to render first aid with the fire department inhalator but First Assistant Fire Chief Peter P. McGraw and Firemen Elmer Tevins and John Eagan reported that Devantier was dead when they reached the scene. Firemen said that the Niagara Falls Power company was installing some wires along the road near the Devantier home and that when one of the wires fell across Deventier's property he picked it up, not realizing that it was charged, and was instantly killed.
