    Donald J. Milleville, who worked for 42 years at the Carborundum Co. in Wheatfield, died Friday (Dec. 13, 2002) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 71.
    A Niagara Falls native, Milleville- was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and a Korean War-era veteran of the Army.
    He worked as a machine operator and expeditor for Carborundum, retiring in 1992. He also operated a roadside stand, selling produce.
    Milleville was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sanborn and served as an elder, trustee, custodian and on various committees, including 10 years on the Evangelism Committee.
    He enjoyed beekeeping, fishing, bowling and gardening.
    His first wife, the former Gladys DeVantier, died in 1997.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Joyce A. Herby of the Town of Niagara; four sons, Thomas of Wheatfield, Joel and Todd, both of the Town of Niagara, and the Rev. Deron of Skaneateles; a daughter, Barbara of Vienna, Va.; a stepson, David Herby of Buffalo; a brother, Richard of Bergholz; five sisters, Florence Mielke, Winifred Proefrock and Alice Lange, all of Wheatfield, Beatrice Nehrboss of Newstead and Janice Kirchner of Lewiston; and two grandchildren.

    An active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the choir and the Women of the Church group. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
    In addition to her husband. she is survived by four sons. Thomas Milleville of Sanborn. Joel Milleville and Todd Milleville. both of the Town of Niagara. and Deron Milleville of Columbus. Ohio: a daughter. Barbara Milleville of Marietta, Ga.: a brother. Elmer DeVantier of Pekin; a sister. Lydia Mueller of the Town of Niagara: two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter. Beth Milleville. and a brother. Norman DeVantier. Mr. Milleville was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Bergholz and the St. James Brotherhood; a member of the Retired Men's Club of Niagara Falls and a retired employee of the former Oldburg Chemical Co. He is survived by his wife, Beata (nee Mueller) Milleville.     PICKS UP LIVE WIRE AND MEETS INSTANT DEATH
    Tuscarora Road Man Electrocuted by 2,200 volt Charge on Lawn of Home
    Albert W. Devantier, 52 years old, of the Tuscarora road, R. F. D. Route No. I, was electrocuted this morning at 10:25 o'clock when he picked up a wire carrying 2,200 volts of electricity which had fallen across the lawn of his home. Falls firemen answered a call to the Deventier (sic) home to render first aid with the fire department inhalator but First Assistant Fire Chief Peter P. McGraw and Firemen Elmer Tevins and John Eagan reported that Devantier was dead when they reached the scene. Firemen said that the Niagara Falls Power company was installing some wires along the road near the Devantier home and that when one of the wires fell across Deventier's property he picked it up, not realizing that it was charged, and was instantly killed.
