NORTH TONAWANDA
Herbert A. Stenzel, 65, of
2305 Niagara Falls Boulevard,
Town of Wheatfield, a
retired building contractor,
died Saturday (Sept. 8,1962)
in DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
A lifelong resident of
Wheatfield, Mr. Stenzel operated
a construction business,
retiring in 1955. Since
then, he operated Stenzel
Motel on the boulevard.
He was a member of St.
James Lutheran Church and
the brotherhood of the
church.
Survivors i n c l u d e Ins
wife, Helen; a son, Gordon
Stenzel, Town of Wheatfield;
two sisters, Mrs. Clarence
Moellcr, this citv; Mrs.
Otto S c h m i d t , Town of
Wheatfield; and a brother,
Ervin, Town of Wheatfield,
and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the
home and at 2:30 p.m. at
St. James Lutheran Church.
Rev. Robert Lehman will
officiate. Burial will be in
St. James Cemetery.

BERGOLTZ, June 10.One of the
prettiest weddings of the season was
solemnised last Saturday evening,
June 5, at the St. Jacob's church,
when Miss Helen Devantler, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Devantler, of
the Buffalo-Falls boulevard, was
united in marriage to Mr. Herbert
Stenzel of North Tonawanda, N. Y.,
the Rev. O. Bruss officiating.
Promptly at 7 o'clock, to the strains
of Lohengrin's wedding march, played
by Mr. Theo D. Graball, the bridal
T)arty entered the church which was
filled with friends and^relatives of
the young couple and decorated with
cut flowers and ferns. The brld»,
who was given away by her father,
looked beautiful In a gown ofxjvhlte
satin crepe and Honltou lace, and her
tulle veil waa cap shaped with
oranse blossoms forming a coronet
and edging tho veil. She carried a
shower bouriutt of cream roses, lillies
of the valley and smjfax tied with
white satin ribbon and streamers.
Miss Edna Devantler, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor and trie
brldesmalda were Mis3 Ruth Stenzel
and Miss Irma Devantler. The best
man was Mr. Edward Mueller and
the ushers wero Mr. Harold Devantler,
Mr. Irwin Stenzel and Mr. Bernhard
Devantler. *
The maid of honor and bridesmaids,
who woro changeable tafefta gowns
of peach, orchid and crapapple, all
carried shower- bouquets to match
their gowns. Tho double ring service
was used. Benediction followed
the marrlagtf ceremony. After tho
ceremony a reception followed Immediately
at the home of the bride's
parents which was prettily decorated
with spring flowers- 100 guests wore
present. The bride's table was centered
with a largo wedding cake and
white roses and was set for 30. Tho
young couple received many pretty
and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Stenzel
will make their future home on
the Buffalo-Falls boulevard.
Out of town guests were present
from Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Tonawanda
and Medina.
