    Myron L. Mueller, age 73, of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Monday, April 6, 2009 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on January 1, 1936 to the late Edward and Edna (DeVantier) Mueller. He was a lifelong member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he held various positions over the years and enjoyed singing in the choir. Myron served in the National Guard and retired as a carpenter superintendent with Scrufari Construction Company, was a 50 year member of the Buffalo Carpenters Union and was project manager, working on the Wheatfield recreation and water department buildings and was very proud of his accomplishments. Myron enjoyed bowling at the Manor II Lanes on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, played bingo, traveled many places along the coast - Maine to the Carolina's, visiting lighthouses, faithfully kept a weather journal and had an A-frame at Rushford Lake, where his family vacationed during the summer months. Hobbies included woodworking, gardening, painting, puzzles, fishing and golfing. Myron especially enjoyed being with his family and watching his grandchildren play baseball, and would have an Easter Egg hunt at his house for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with pizza for lunch.Survivors include his beloved wife, Marlene (Goater) Mueller. There were united in marriage on June 14, 1958; four children, Kyle (Larry) Hall, Karen (Gary) Pfohl, Kim (Bill) Szelazkiewicz and Mike (Cindy) Mueller; grandchildren, Darryl and Michelle Hall, Kelly and Dave Patterson, Billy Szelazkiewicz, Mikie Szelazkiewicz, Alex Mueller, Michael Mueller and Jillian Mueller; great-grandchildren, Erica, Andrew and Kyle V. Hall and Autumn Patterson; two sisters, Audrey Walck and Marilyn Mueller; sister-in-law, Fern Mueller and brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Margo and Paul Beecher; uncle, Harry (Marian) Morath; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lowell and Milton Mueller; and brother-in-law, Norman Walck.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.     WHEATFIELD - Edward M. Mueller, 87, of Cayuga Drive Extension, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 1989) in Mount St, Mary's Hospital, Town Of Lewiston.
    Mueller was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
    He was a former Wheatfield town justice and was employed at the National Grinding Wheel Co. for 35 years. Be was a 50 year member of the Co-op Fire Insurance Corp. of Bergholz and served as its president for a number of years, as well as on the board of directors.
    Mueller was actively involved with the Cataract Camera Club and was a recipient of many awards. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, holding numerous offices over the years. After retirement he involved himself in the activities of the Retired Men's Service Club and especially enjoyed singing in its chorus. He was a member of the North German Historical Society. He was also first president of St. James Lutheran Church congregation.
    He was the husband of Edna (DeVantier) Mueller, who died in l984 and was father of the late Lowell Mueller.
    Mueller is survived by daughters, Audrey Walck of Sanborn and Marilyn Mueller of New Orleans; sons, Milton Mueller of Sanborn and Myron Mueller of North Tonawanda; and a sister, Whilimine (sic) Heuer of Ohio; nine ,grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
    Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Road, Bergholz, with the Rev. David B. Menz officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz. Contributions to St. James Lutheran Church Building Fund or World Hunger.

    Edward M. Mueller, 87, of Cayuga Drive, a former justice of the peace and amateur photographer, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 1989) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
    He had worked at National Grinding Wheel for 35 years and was a former justice of the peace in the Town of Niagara.
    He was a 50-year member of Co-Op Fire Insurance Corp. of Bergholz, serving as president for a number of years and on the board of directors.

    Former LaSalle Trustee Passes
    A. D. Mueller Well Known resident of That Section
    August D. Mueller, a former trustee of the old Village of LaSalle and one of the best known residents of that section of the city, died Saturday afternoon at the family home, 9644 Pine avenue.
    Mr. Mueller was born September 23, 1863, on the Mueller homestead, a son of the late Johann Mueller and his wife, Wilhelmine, nee Hellert. He attended the St. James Parochial school of Bergholtz, a Lewiston public school and the Martin Luther Seminary of Buffalo.
    On November 4, 1837, he was united into holy matrimony with Miss Albertine L. Walck, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Walck, of the Town of Wheatfield, Mr. Mueller was a carpenter by trade and was widely known as such. He was assessor of the Town of Niagara for several terms and also for a number of years served as trustee of the Village of LaSalle. He was a faithful member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran church of Bergholtz, in which he was baptized, confirmed and married.
    The deceased is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Louis Heuer, of Akron: and a son, Edward Mueller, of Niagara Falls; six grandchildren, two brothers, John and Philip, of Niagara Falls, and five sisters, Mrs. George Collins and Mrs. Gustav Haseley, of Niagara Falls, Mrs. August Williams and Mrs. Edward Goerss of the Town of Niagara, and Mrs. John Walck and Mrs. David Heuer, of the Town of Wheatfield, besides a large number of nephews and nieces.
    Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and 2:30 from St. James church, Rev. Otto Bruss, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment in the St. James' cemetery on the Bergholtz road.

    Mrs. Albertine Mueller, 80, died suddenly yesterday at the home of her son. Edward Mueller. 9660 Cayuga Dr. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Mueller had lived in this city for the last 60 years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church,. Bergholtz, and its Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies. She was the wife of the late August D. Mueller, a carpenter and contractor in this city for many years, who died in 1937. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Louis C.     Was Lifelong Resident of Bergholtz Vicinity.
    BERGHOLTZ, Dec. 11-Albert F. DeVantier, 77 years old, a lifelong and well known resident of the Town of Wheatfield, died yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herbert Stenzel, of the Niagara Falls boulevard. Mr. DeVantier was formerly engaged in farming, having retired about 12 years ago. He was a member of St. James church and in former years took an active interest in church and social affairs in Bergholtz.
    He is survived by six sons, Hugo, Harold and John, of Bergholtz, Edward and Bernard, of Niagara Falls, and Alfred, of Sanborn; five daughters. Mrs. John Voelker, of Buffalo, Mrs. Stenzel. of Bergholtz, Mrs. William Groening (sic), Jr., and Mrs. John Blank, Jr., of Sanborn, and Mrs. Edward Mueller, of Niagara. Falls; 22 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. August Kroening, of Sanborn.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Stenzel home and at 2:30 from St. James church, Bergholtz. The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate and interment will be in St. James cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA, March 24. Mrs. Alma DeVantier, 50 years old, of tho Niagara Falls boulevard, Bergholz, died Thursday afternoon at the DeGraff Memorial Hospital following an operation for appendicitis. She was a life-long resident of the Town of Wheatfield. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at St Martin's Church, Bergholz. Rev. Otto Bruss will -conduct the services and interment will be in St Martin's cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Albert F. DeVantier; five daughters. Miss Irene DeVantier and Mrs. Herbert Stenzel of Bergholz, Mrs. John Voelker of Buffalo, Mrs. "William Kroening of Sanborn and Mrs. Edward Mueller of LaSalle; six sons, Hugo, John and Alfred of Bergholz, Bernard of Niagara Falls and Edward of LaSalle; seven grandchildren; her father, Ferdinand A.     John Mueller, 89 years old, of LaSalle
    died yesterday at the home of his daugh-
    ter, Mrs. David Heuer in Bergholtz. He
    had been ill for about two weeks and
    death was due to heart disease and gen-
    eral breaking up due to his extremities.
    The funeral will be held Wednesday after-
    noon at 2 o'clock from his daughter's
    home and interment will be made in the
    cemetery at Bergholtz.
    Mr. Mueller was born at Grimm on the
    Ukernarck in Prussia in 1867 and set-
    tled in Bergholtz while still a young man.
    His wife died about 18 years ago. He is
    survived by eleven children; three sons,
    John, August and Philip or LaSalle, eight
    daughters, Mrs. Augusta Williams of La
    Salle, Mrs. Rosie Goerss and Mrs. Lydia
    Heuer of Wheatfield, Mrs. Martha Metz-

    WALCK RITES HELD
    Body of Bergholtz Man Borne to Grave by Grandchildren BERGOLTZ, Dec. 27. - Funeral services for John Walck, who died suddenly Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helena Zimmerman, at Niagara street, were held Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Zimmerman at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 from St. James church on Rohr Street. The Rev. Otto Bruss officiated.
    Mr. Walck is survived by five daughters, Mrs. August D. Mueller, Mrs. Apolonia (sic) Blumreich, of Niagara Falls, Amalia (sic) Pfuhl, of Walmore. and Mrs. Helena Zimmerman and Mrs. Lydia DeVantier, of this village, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. The deceased was a retired farmer and had resided in this vicinity all his life. His two sons, John Walck and Christ (sic) Walck, died a number of years ago. Burial was in St. James cemetery. The bearers were all grandchildren: Edward and Arthur Zimmerman, Theodore and Edwin Walck, Edward Mueller and A. Pfuhl.

    BERGHOLTZ, March 7 - Ferdinand August Williams, 86 years old a resident of the Town of Wheatfield for the past 81 years, died vesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter. Mrs. John Proefrock. 9 Fremont street, North Tonawanda where he had been making his home for the past few months. Born in Bergholtz, Germany Mr. Williams came to this country when five years old with his parents. Since then he had made his home in Bergholtz and vicinity operating an extensive farm. He is survived by three sons. John and Ferdinand, of Lockport, and Philip A., of Niagara Falls, three daughters, Mrs. Proefrock, of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Fred W. Lindke. of Medina, and Mrs. Rudolph Mlllevllle, of Niagara Falls; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Gustav Williams, of Sanborn. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Proefroc.k home and at 2:30 at St. James' church in this village, The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate and interment will be in St. James' cemetery, Bergholtz.

    WILLIAMS-Lydia, aged 73 years, wife of Ferdinand A. Williams, departed this life at noon Oct. 22nd. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, three sons and four daughters, John F. and Ferdinand B. of Lockport and Philip A. of this city, Mrs. Albert De Vantier of St. Johnsburg, Mrs. John Proefrock of Tonawanda.
