    Norman A. Walck, retired water superintendent of the Town of Wheatfield, died Tuesday (July 18, 2000) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. He was 77.
    He retired in 1988 after 34 years with the Town of Wheatfield.
    A World War II veteran of the Army Air Forces, Walck was a past commander of American Legion Post 1451 in Wheatfield.
    He also had served as president of the Wheatfield Business Association and as secretary of the American Waterworks Association, and was on the board of the former Bergholz Fire Insurance Co.
    Walck was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company.
    He enjoyed fishing.
    Survivors include his wife of 50 years, the former Audrey Mueller; a son, Robert of Chicago; a daughter, Cheryl Hayes of Lockport; two sisters, Helen Waldkoetter of North Tonawanda and Doris Toellner of Michigan; a brother, Melvin of Michigan; and three grandchildren.
    Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, on Walmore Road in Wheatfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Born August 13, 1928 to Edward and Edna (DeVantier) Mueller, in the Town of Niagara. Baptized on August 19, 1928, confirmed on May 18, 1941 by the Rev. Otto Bruss, at St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Audrey was united in marriage to Norman A. Walck on October 1, 1949. She attended local schools and was a 1945 graduate of LaSalle High School. Audrey was employed by Moore Business Forms, Carborundum Company, Hooker Chemical Company, and New York Power Authority. She was an active member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, serving as Sunday School teacher, working with the young people and served on the church council as secretary and president. As chairperson of St. Peter's Archive Committee, she assisted in translating the church's records from the original German script, into English. Mrs. Walck was an accomplished porcelain artist, an officer in the Towpath China Painters Club, and World Organization of China Painters. Pictures of a number of her paintings were published in the organization's publication. Mrs. Walck was a member in the Niagara Women's Club, member of the German Historical Society, Sanborn Area Historical Society, and charter member of Artpark & Company. Audrey's greatest joy was the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Robert (Judith) Walck; daughter, Cheryl (Edward III) Hayes; grandchildren, Noelle and Nathan Urbach, Laura Hayes; sister, Marilyn Mueller; sisters and brothers in law, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Norman; parents, Edward and Edna Mueller; and brothers, Lowell, Milton and Myron Mueller. Visitation will be at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Corky Spitler, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, Wheatfield.

    city, to Mr. Norman Walck, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. August Walck, took
    palce recently at St. James church.
    The Rev. Otto Bruss and Rev. Ber-
    nard Walck officiated at the cere-
    mony.
    The altar was banked with white
    gladoil and palms. The bride
    entered the church on the arm of
    her father. She wore a gown of
    white silver tone slipper satin fa-
    shioned with illusion neckline, and
    a ruffle of Belgium lace edging the
    neckline and sleeves. the bodice
    was fitting and the sleeves were
    leg-o-mutton effect. A tiara of
    orange blossoms held the bride's
    veil of French illusion which was
    edged with Chantilly lace. She
    carried a cascade bouquet of white
    roses and pom poms.

    Marilyn Mueller, maid fo honor;
    Mrs. Wilbert Schimschack, Mrs.
    William Nehrboss, Miss Helen
    Walck, bridesmaids; Miss Dorothy
    Lee Reisig, Junior bridesmaid; Miss

    Messrs. Chester Walck. Milton
    Mueller and Chester Haseley.
    ushers. Following the wedding a
    dinner for 160 guests was-served
    at the Plantation restaurant. The
    couple received many guests at a
    reception held at the bride's home
    following the dinner.
    Mr. and Mrs. Walck will reside
    at 9660 Cayuga drive upon their
    return from a wedding trip.

    WHEATFIELD - Edward M. Mueller, 87, of Cayuga Drive Extension, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 1989) in Mount St, Mary's Hospital, Town Of Lewiston.
    Mueller was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
    He was a former Wheatfield town justice and was employed at the National Grinding Wheel Co. for 35 years. Be was a 50 year member of the Co-op Fire Insurance Corp. of Bergholz and served as its president for a number of years, as well as on the board of directors.
    Mueller was actively involved with the Cataract Camera Club and was a recipient of many awards. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, holding numerous offices over the years. After retirement he involved himself in the activities of the Retired Men's Service Club and especially enjoyed singing in its chorus. He was a member of the North German Historical Society. He was also first president of St. James Lutheran Church congregation.
    He was the husband of Edna (DeVantier) Mueller, who died in l984 and was father of the late Lowell Mueller.
    Mueller is survived by daughters, Audrey Walck of Sanborn and Marilyn Mueller of New Orleans; sons, Milton Mueller of Sanborn and Myron Mueller of North Tonawanda; and a sister, Whilimine (sic) Heuer of Ohio; nine ,grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
    Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Road, Bergholz, with the Rev. David B. Menz officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz. Contributions to St. James Lutheran Church Building Fund or World Hunger.
