    NEWFANE — Lawrence Dale Hall, age 79, of Newfane, entered into rest on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Eastern Niagara Hospital at Newfane. Born February 25, 1931, in East Smithfield, PA, he was the son of the late Francis M. and Dorothy L. (Freelove) Hall.

    Lawrence served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict in Company L in the 105th Infantry Regiment of the 5th Infantry Division. He was honorably discharged June 5, 1952, achieving the rank of corporal. He married Dorothy Reeson February 14, 1976 in Lockport. He had worked at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls as a technician. He retired in 1991 after working over 40 years. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking and landscaping as hobbies. He also enjoyed square dancing and photography. He had lived in Newfane since 1986; previously of Lockport.

    His loving wife, Dorothy, survives Lawrence. Dear father of Lawrence (Kyle) Hall, Jr. of North Tonawanda, David Hall of Buffalo, and Robert Hall of North Tonawanda. Step-father of Donald (Pat) Scharping of Punta Gorda, FL and April (Michael) O'Flaherty of Newfane. Brother of Francis Hall, George Hall and Burton Hall. Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive Lawrence.

    Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM from the funeral home. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery, Gasport, NY. Memorials appreciated to Roswell Cancer Institute.

    Myron L. Mueller, age 73, of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Monday, April 6, 2009 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on January 1, 1936 to the late Edward and Edna (DeVantier) Mueller. He was a lifelong member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he held various positions over the years and enjoyed singing in the choir. Myron served in the National Guard and retired as a carpenter superintendent with Scrufari Construction Company, was a 50 year member of the Buffalo Carpenters Union and was project manager, working on the Wheatfield recreation and water department buildings and was very proud of his accomplishments. Myron enjoyed bowling at the Manor II Lanes on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, played bingo, traveled many places along the coast - Maine to the Carolina's, visiting lighthouses, faithfully kept a weather journal and had an A-frame at Rushford Lake, where his family vacationed during the summer months. Hobbies included woodworking, gardening, painting, puzzles, fishing and golfing. Myron especially enjoyed being with his family and watching his grandchildren play baseball, and would have an Easter Egg hunt at his house for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with pizza for lunch.Survivors include his beloved wife, Marlene (Goater) Mueller. There were united in marriage on June 14, 1958; four children, Kyle (Larry) Hall, Karen (Gary) Pfohl, Kim (Bill) Szelazkiewicz and Mike (Cindy) Mueller; grandchildren, Darryl and Michelle Hall, Kelly and Dave Patterson, Billy Szelazkiewicz, Mikie Szelazkiewicz, Alex Mueller, Michael Mueller and Jillian Mueller; great-grandchildren, Erica, Andrew and Kyle V. Hall and Autumn Patterson; two sisters, Audrey Walck and Marilyn Mueller; sister-in-law, Fern Mueller and brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Margo and Paul Beecher; uncle, Harry (Marian) Morath; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lowell and Milton Mueller; and brother-in-law, Norman Walck.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
