    Myron L. Mueller, age 73, of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Monday, April 6, 2009 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on January 1, 1936 to the late Edward and Edna (DeVantier) Mueller. He was a lifelong member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where he held various positions over the years and enjoyed singing in the choir. Myron served in the National Guard and retired as a carpenter superintendent with Scrufari Construction Company, was a 50 year member of the Buffalo Carpenters Union and was project manager, working on the Wheatfield recreation and water department buildings and was very proud of his accomplishments. Myron enjoyed bowling at the Manor II Lanes on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, played bingo, traveled many places along the coast - Maine to the Carolina's, visiting lighthouses, faithfully kept a weather journal and had an A-frame at Rushford Lake, where his family vacationed during the summer months. Hobbies included woodworking, gardening, painting, puzzles, fishing and golfing. Myron especially enjoyed being with his family and watching his grandchildren play baseball, and would have an Easter Egg hunt at his house for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with pizza for lunch.Survivors include his beloved wife, Marlene (Goater) Mueller. There were united in marriage on June 14, 1958; four children, Kyle (Larry) Hall, Karen (Gary) Pfohl, Kim (Bill) Szelazkiewicz and Mike (Cindy) Mueller; grandchildren, Darryl and Michelle Hall, Kelly and Dave Patterson, Billy Szelazkiewicz, Mikie Szelazkiewicz, Alex Mueller, Michael Mueller and Jillian Mueller; great-grandchildren, Erica, Andrew and Kyle V. Hall and Autumn Patterson; two sisters, Audrey Walck and Marilyn Mueller; sister-in-law, Fern Mueller and brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Margo and Paul Beecher; uncle, Harry (Marian) Morath; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lowell and Milton Mueller; and brother-in-law, Norman Walck.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Milsten on Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Rohr Street in Bergholz.     WHEATFIELD - Edward M. Mueller, 87, of Cayuga Drive Extension, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 1989) in Mount St, Mary's Hospital, Town Of Lewiston.
    Mueller was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield.
    He was a former Wheatfield town justice and was employed at the National Grinding Wheel Co. for 35 years. Be was a 50 year member of the Co-op Fire Insurance Corp. of Bergholz and served as its president for a number of years, as well as on the board of directors.
    Mueller was actively involved with the Cataract Camera Club and was a recipient of many awards. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, holding numerous offices over the years. After retirement he involved himself in the activities of the Retired Men's Service Club and especially enjoyed singing in its chorus. He was a member of the North German Historical Society. He was also first president of St. James Lutheran Church congregation.
    He was the husband of Edna (DeVantier) Mueller, who died in l984 and was father of the late Lowell Mueller.
    Mueller is survived by daughters, Audrey Walck of Sanborn and Marilyn Mueller of New Orleans; sons, Milton Mueller of Sanborn and Myron Mueller of North Tonawanda; and a sister, Whilimine (sic) Heuer of Ohio; nine ,grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
    Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Niagara Road, Bergholz, with the Rev. David B. Menz officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz. Contributions to St. James Lutheran Church Building Fund or World Hunger.

    Edward M. Mueller, 87, of Cayuga Drive, a former justice of the peace and amateur photographer, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 1989) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
    He had worked at National Grinding Wheel for 35 years and was a former justice of the peace in the Town of Niagara.
    He was a 50-year member of Co-Op Fire Insurance Corp. of Bergholz, serving as president for a number of years and on the board of directors.

    Thomas Edward Goater, 93, of Hird Road, Town of Wheatfield, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at his home while under the care of hospice, following a brief illness. Born on May 12, 1913, the son of Joseph and Louisa (Brand) Goater, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School Class of 1931. He retired from the Carborundum Co. as a lathe operator in 1975. Mr. Goater was an avid woodworker, enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and working in his flower garden. Thomas loved living on the Niagara River. He was a member of the Unity Church, a sixty year member of the Frontier Volunteer Fire Co., the Wheatfield Republican Club, the Niagara County Ostomy, a member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club since 1941, the Carborundum Alumni, the Retired Men's Service Club, the Wheatfield Seniors and the TNT Boat Club. He was predecease by his wife, Geraldine Morath on April 22, 1982. They were married in Niagara Falls on June 26, 1937.
