Herbert R. Milleville, 75, of Cayuga Drive, who was active in St. James Lutheran Church, died Sunday (Jan. 11, 1998) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness.
He was born in Niagara Falls and attended St. James Lutheran School in Bergholz and LaSalle High School
A lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, he held many offices, sang in the choir and men's chorus and did maintenance work around the church.
Milleville was co-owner and plant manager of R. Milleville Dairy on 98th Street until 1982. After that, he worked for Wendt's Dairy until October 1997.
He was fond of travel and refinishing furniture, bowled in the Bergholz Bowling League for more than 40 years and sang in the Retired Men's Service Club Chorus here.
Survivors include his wife, the former June Moll; two sons, the Rev. Randy of Clarence Center and James; a daughter, Ann Clingersmith; a sister, Eleanor Garner; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholz

Notes Head of Dairy Company Dies
Rudolph W. Milleville, 78, of 9790 Cayuga. Drive, president of the Milleville Dairy County, died in Memorial Hospital today (March 24, 1969) after a brief illness. The company on Cayuga Drive, has been in operation since 1907.
Mr. Milleville was born in the Town of Wheatfield and was a life member of St. James Lutheran, Church, Bergholtz.
He is survived by his widow, Lydia; two sons, Robert W. and Herbert R. Milleville, both of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Eleanor) Garner of this city; four brothers, Theodore, Edward, and Philip Milleville, Wheatfield, and Herbert A., Milleville of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Edna) Geltz and Mrs. George (Hilda) Meyers, of this city, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. James Church Wednesday: at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Lehman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Milleville's body will be at the church in Bergholtz from noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. William F. Milleville, Sr., 79, died this morning at his home on the Old Niagara Falls boulevard, town of Wheatfield. He was a lifelong resident and the husband of the late Emma DeVantier Milleville. Surviving are seven sons, Rudolph, Arthur and Edward of Niagara Falls, Herbert of the town of Niagara, Theodore, William Jr., and Philip of the town of Wheatfield; two daughters, Mrs. Hilda Holland and Miss Edna Milleville of the town of Wheatfield; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a brother, John Milleville, and two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Ferchen and Mrs. DeVantier of the town of Wheatfield. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence and at 2:30 o’clock from the St. James church in Bergholz. The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate. Burial will be in St. James cemetery.

BERGHOLTZ, March 7 - Ferdinand August Williams, 86 years old a resident of the Town of Wheatfield for the past 81 years, died vesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter. Mrs. John Proefrock. 9 Fremont street, North Tonawanda where he had been making his home for the past few months. Born in Bergholtz, Germany Mr. Williams came to this country when five years old with his parents. Since then he had made his home in Bergholtz and vicinity operating an extensive farm. He is survived by three sons. John and Ferdinand, of Lockport, and Philip A., of Niagara Falls, three daughters, Mrs. Proefrock, of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Fred W. Lindke. of Medina, and Mrs. Rudolph Mlllevllle, of Niagara Falls; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Gustav Williams, of Sanborn. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Proefroc.k home and at 2:30 at St. James' church in this village, The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate and interment will be in St. James' cemetery, Bergholtz.

WILLIAMS-Lydia, aged 73 years, wife of Ferdinand A. Williams, departed this life at noon Oct. 22nd. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, three sons and four daughters, John F. and Ferdinand B. of Lockport and Philip A. of this city, Mrs. Albert De Vantier of St. Johnsburg, Mrs. John Proefrock of Tonawanda. Mrs. Rudolph Melville (sic) of La Salle. Miss Helena Williams of Lockport, one sister and four brothers and 19 grandchildren survive her. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 25th at 2 :00 o'clock from her late residence and 2 :30 from St. Jacobi church at Bergholz. Rev. O. Bruss officiating.

John Milleville

John Milleville, 80 years old, one of the pioneer settlers of the town of
Wheatfield, dropped dead at his home in Bergholtz, a suburb of this city,
yesterday afternoon. Heart disease is attributed as the cause of death.
The deceased was born in Germany and came here 55 years ago, locating in
Wheatfield. Three daughters, Mrs. William Schmidt, Mrs. Christian Ferchen
and Mrs. Fred Devantier; three sons, John, William and Albert Milleville,
all of Bergholtz; three sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Pfuhl, Mrs. William Haseley
and Mrs. Albert Walck and four brothers, August, William, Ferdinand and
Albert Williams all of the town of Wheatfield, survive. The funeral will be
held from the late home tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and a half hour
later from the Grabau Lutheran church at Bergholtz. Burial will be at
Bergholtz.
