    Della M. Lamar



    Della Margaret Lamar, age 84, of Lewiston, was called home to be with the Lord on January 20th, 2016, at her home surrounding by her loving family. Born in Irvona, Pennsylvania on May 2nd, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Singleton and Anna (Rebar) Bloom. Della was predeceased by her loving husband, Blair, in 1991. Della was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest accomplishment she told us was her four children whom she was very proud of. Della was a longtime member of Colonial Village Presbyterian Church and in her last years attended St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with family. She served at Colonial Village Presbyterian as Deacon, Women’s Association and the first female Elder. Della loved and enjoyed camping with her family for over 50 years.



    Survivors include her four children, Linda (Jack) Perman of Lutz, Florida, Gary (Pam) Lamar of Medina, Richard Sr. (Tammy) Lamar of Lewiston, and Brenda (Timothy) Walck of Sanborn; her sister Alta Johnsonof Niagara Falls; sister-in-law Ardith (Walter) Conrad of Lewiston; ten grandchildren, Melissa (Nathaniel) Streiff, Matthew (Brittney) Lamar, Michael (Olivia Gilman) Lamar, Jason (Audrey Mokdad) Perman, Jennifer (Carlos) Forlini, Samantha Lamar, Richard Lamar Jr., Dillon Walck, Reanna Walck, Cory Walck; and four great-grandchildren Jeremy Konoski, Nicholas Streiff, Benjamin Streiff and Gavin Lamar. She was predeceased by two brothers, Clair Bloom, Roy Christy, and four sisters Blanch Jones, Jean Moeller, Carrie Matthews and Alva Shaffer.



    Visitation will be on Friday, January 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Village Presbyterian Church, 4813 Kline Road, Town of Lewiston. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.



    Memorials may be given in loving memory of Della to Colonial Village Presbyterian Church, HART Association of Lewiston or Niagara County Office of the Aging.

    I. E. Walck Stricken At Church Meeting
    SANBORN-Irwin E. Walck, 50, of 2466 Saunders Settlement Road, this community, died Tuesday, (Sept. 27, 1966) while attending a meeting at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Walmore.
    The Tri-Community Ambulance removed Mr. Walck to Mount St. Mary's Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Walck, a well-known farmer in this area, was born March 20, 1916, in Sanborn, a son of Frederick and Helene Mueller Walck and had operated the farm at the Saunders Settlement address. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, a member of the church council and an exempt member of the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. and a member of the Niagara County Extension Service and Farm Bureau. Survivors include his widow, the former Ruth Retzlaff; a son, Glenn Walck; two daughters, Nancy and Fay Walck, all at home; a brother. Edward Walck of Sanborn; two sisters, Mrs. William Walck and Mrs. Martin Pfohl, all of Sanborn. Another sister, Mrs. Elise (sic) Kroening, died in 1965. Funeral services are being arranged at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home, Sanborn. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

    SANBORN-Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home here for Irwin E. Walck, 50, of 2466 Saunders Settlement Road, who died Tuesday (Sept. 27,1966), after he was stricken ill during a meeting at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Walmore. He was taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Services also will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Saturday at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald G.     Ruth Amalie Emma Walck, 81, of Saunders Settlement Road, who had operated a family farm and sold produce at the Niagara Falls city market for many years, died at her residence Tuesday (May 7, 1996).
    The former Ruth Retzlaff was born in Wheatfield.
    She was an active, longtime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, where she was baptized, confirmed and married, all by the same minister, the Rev. Edward Grabau. She belonged to the Women of the Church group.
    Mrs. Walck also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens.
    She and her husband, Irwin E., who died in 1966, operated the family farm together.
    Survivors include a son, Glenn; two daughters, Fay Poli of Pendleton and Nancy Dzialak; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road.

    Ruth A. E. Walck
    Active church member; nursing home volunteer
    SANBORN - Ruth Amalie Emma (Retzlaff) Walck, 81, of Sanders Settlement Road, died May 7, 1996, at her residence.
    She was born in Wheatfield on June 8, 1914, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Jagow) Retzlaff. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, she was baptized June 21, 1914, confirmed April 1, 1928, and was married to Irwin E. Walck on Oct 3, 1937, all be the Rev. Edward Grabau at the church. Mr. Walck died Sept. 27, 1966.
    An active church member, she belonged to the Women of the Church group. She was also a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and did volunteer work at local nursing homes. Mrs. Walck enjoyed family life and gardening.
    She and her husband operated the family farm and sold produce to the Niagara Falls City Market for several years.
    She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Dzialak of Sanborn and Fay Poli of Pendleton; a son Glenn Walck of Sanborn; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
    She was the sister off the late Lillian Walck.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
    The Rev. Allen Griep conducted services Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Entrance Fund or to St. Peter's Lutheran School. Arrangements were made by DuBois Funeral Home, Bergholz.

    A lovely fall wedding was solemnized
    Sunday afternoon, at 2:30
    o'clock, in St. Peter's Lutheran
    church. at Walmore, when Miss
    Ruth Retzlaff, daughter of Mt. and
    Mrs. Rudolph Retzlaff. of Sanborn,
    became the bride of Irwin Walck.
    son of Fred Walck, of Sanborn.
    The Rev, Edward Grabau officiated
    at the ceremony. The church
    was decorated with autumn leaves
    and fall flowers, which made a
    beautiful background for the wedding.
    The bride, who entered on the
    arm of her father, was charming
    in a gown of white lace with a
    long satin train. From her halo of
    rhlnestone, caught at the side with
    a cluster of orange blossoms, hung
    her tulle veil trimmed with lace and
    satin. Her bridal bouquet was of
    white roses, calla lilies and baby's
    breath fastened with white ribbons
    and lilles-of-the-valley.
    Miss Lillian Retzlaff, sister of the
    bride, was maid of honor and Miss
    Irma Walck, niece of the groom
    was bridesmaid. Both were gowned
    alike in blushed rose striped satin
    with rainbow colored head bands
    to match. They both carried a bou-
    quet of pink and yellow roses and

    baby's breath, tied with a pink bow.
    Howard Walck, was best man and
    John Kroning, nephew of the
    groom, also attended him.
    The ushers were Herbert Jagow,
    cousin of the bride and Edward
    Walck, brother of the. groom.
    The bride's mother chose a gown
    of brown crepe trimmed with velvet
    and a corsage of pink roses.
    Following the wedding, a reception
    and dinner was held at the
    bride's home. The out-of-town
    guests were from Cleveland, Ohio
    and Buffalo.
    Mr. and Mrs. Walck left for a
    wedding trip to New York City.

    WHEATFIELD - Services for Edward E. Milleville, of Cayuga Drive Extension, are scheduled for Friday. Milleville, 79, died Tuesday (Dec. 8, 1987) after he was struck by a car as he crossed a street near his home. Employed at General Abrasives in Niagara Falls for 40 years, he retired in 1973. He was a World War II Army veteran and a lifelong member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Survived include his wife, Lenore (Barrs) Milleville; a daughter, Sandra Walck of Sanborn; sisters, Edna Geltz and Hilda Meyers, both of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bergholz.     LOCKPORT - Lenore F. Milleville (Barrs), age 94, of Sanborn, formerly of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 8, 2010, while at the Niagara Hospice House. Born in Ransomville, NY, on July 1, 1916, to the late Leroy and Mary (Seefeldt) Barrs. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, she was employed as a waitress at various local restaurants and later as a teacher's aide at Niagara Wheatfield High School. Lenore was a member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Bergholz, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years, and active with the Ladies Aid. Lenore was a member of the Sanbornites and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens. Hobbies and interests included sewing, reading, knitting afghans and will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

    Lenore was predeceased by her husband, Edward E. Milleville on December 8, 1987; and two sisters, Veda Goltare and Janice Harvey.

    Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Glenn) Walck of Sanborn; three grandchildren, Timothy (Brenda) Walck of Wheatfield, Tammy (Bill) Anderson of Pendleton and Darci (Rob) Hoover of Sanborn; seven great-grandchildren, Dillon, Reanna, Cory, Billy, Shelby, Robbie and Katelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

    The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care given by the entire staff of Niagara Hospice House and Judy Johnson, R.N, Niagara Hospice home care nurse.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Milsten on Thursday (Aug. 12) at 11:00 AM in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Rohr Street, in Bergholz. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
