Elsie R. Ferchen, the oldest living member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, died Tuesday (June 18, 1996) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after becoming ill in CrestWood Health Care Center, Wheatfield.
Mrs. Ferchen, 96, formerly of Bergholz, was born Elsie Mueller on Jan. 1, 1900, in the Town of Wheatfield.
She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Her husband, Erich, died in 1973.
She is survived by two sons, Nathan "Ollie" and Kenneth; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield

AUGUST F. MUELLER
August F. Mueller 72, died yesterday at his home on the Niagara road, Bergholtz. He was a life-long and well known resident of that place. He leaves a wife. Rosa, nee Sy: a son. Edwin: a daughter, Mrs, Erich Ferchen, and four grandchildren, all of Bergholtz. Rites will he held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:30 o'clock at the Holy Ghost Lutheran church. Rev. John Kuchenbecker will officiate and burial will be in Holy Ghost cemetery.

MRS. FREDERICKA MUELLER
Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Fredericka Mueller, 90 years old, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her son, August, Niagara road, Bergholz, and half an hour later at the Holy Ghost church in that village. Mrs. Mueller died at the home of her son yesterday afternoon. Born in Germany she came to America with her family at the age of three and since that time had resided in Bergholz and vicinity. Besides the son with whom she resided, Mrs. Mueller is survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Rev. John Kuchembecker will conduct the services and interment will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery.

MRS AUGUST SY DEAD
Mrs Daniel Sy, 77 years old, a resident of Bergholtz practically all her life, died at her home there last night after a long illness. She was the mother of Supervisor August Sy of the town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Bertha Williams and Mrs. Henry Urtel, both of LaSalle, and Mrs. August Miller of Bergholtz. Mrs. Sy was widely known in Wheatfield, and adjoining towns, and was always held in high respect by her many friends and acquaintances. The funeral will be held next Friday atfernoon at 2 o'clock at the family home in Bergholtz.
