Funeral services for Roland J. Ferchen, a retired machinist, will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield.
Ferchen of Errick Road died Monday (Dec. 20, 1993) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. He was 71.
A lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, Ferchen was employed by Teledyne-Taber Instruments in North Tonawanda for 20 years. He retired in 1985.
He was a member and past trustee of St. James Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Heinhard; one daughter, Marcia of Newfane; two sons, Mark of the Town of Niagara and David of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Gertrude and Ruth; one brother, Wilbert; and six grandchildren

NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Minnie Jagow Ferchen, 71, of 3039 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Town of Wheatfield, died Monday (Dec. 9, 1963) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident in Wheatfield and a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholtz. Survivors Include her husband, John C. Ferchen; two daughters, Gertrude and Ruth Ferchen, both at home; two sons, Roland and Wilbert Ferchen, and a brother, Fred Jagow, all of the Town of Wheatfield, and three grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday and in St. James Church at 2:30, Rev. Robert Lehman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
