The christening of Dolores, Alma,
inffcnt daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Rudolph Jagow, Niagara street, took
place at the morning services in the
Holy Ghost Evangelical Lutheran
church here Sunday. The Rev. J.
Kuchenbecker officiated. Sponsors
were Marlon Camann, Erma Slegman,
Reinhold Stoclting and Charles Wlttkopp.
The babe received many lovely
gifts.
Obituary
DOLORES A. HILL, age 84, of Cambria, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on August 19, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. Born in the hamlet of Bergholz, Town of Wheatfield on July 5, 1935; daughter of the late Rudolph and Alma (Stoelting) Jagow. She was a Niagara Falls High School graduate, and was employed at Bell Aerospace, and later at Union Carbide, in the office. Dolores was a devoted homemaker, a lifelong active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she served as organist for many years, helped with Vacation Bible School, was a Sunday School teacher, member of the Altar Guild, and the LWML. Dolores was also a member of the German Historical Society, loved music, baking, gardening, playing cards with the card club, and the quality time spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Arthur Hill. They were united in marriage on June 27, 1959; two children, Stephen Hill of Bergholz, and Laurie (Thomas) Wikander of Wheatfield; six grandchildren, Joshua Waller, Britney and Christopher Hill, and Sarah, Jessica and Madeline Wikander; and three great-grandchildren, Seth, Christian and Eden.
Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Thursday (August 22) from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, on Friday (August 23) at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street, Bergholz. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Organ Fund.

BERGHOLTZ--A fioor length gown of
Chantilly lace and silk organza was worn by
Miss Dolores A. Jagow for her marriage
Saturday (June 27. 1959) to Arthur A. Hill.
The Rev. Robert F. Jaeger officiated at a
double-ring ceremony at Holy Ghost Lutheran
Church.
Carnations and delphinium decorated the
chancel for the ceremony. Mrs. Kenneth
Glfford was organist and Mri. Roger Smith
waa soloist
THE BRIDE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Rudolph Jagow, Washington St., and the late
Mr. Jagow, was given in marriage by her
cousin, Herbert Goers*, to Mr. Hill, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hill, Woodland Ave.
The bride's gown was styled with a
Chantilly lace bodice and sahrina neckline.
A taffeta cummerbund topped her full skirt
of silk organza, which was scattered with
lace tppUautf. A profile cloche of sequined
lace held her veil of silk illusion.
MRS. ERNEST HASELEY was matron of
honor. She wore a ballerina length gown of
blue silk organza over taffeta. It was fashioned
with a scoop neckline, high empire
bodice and a sheer front panel which fell
over her full skirt. She wore a matching band
of silk organza flowers to hold her flyaway
veil.
Mrs. Peter Moore, sister of the bridegroom;
and Mrs. Marvin Stoelting and Miss
Marlcne Townsend, bridesmaids, were attired
in pink ensembles styled like that of
the honor attendants. Miss Paulina Frerichs
was flower girl.
David Young was best man. Donald
Goerss, Ernest Haseley and Marvin Werth
.seated the wedding guests.
FOR A RECEPTION at the Bergholtz
Fire Hall, the mother of the bride wore a
blue lace dress with white, accessories and
a corsage of red roses. The mother of the a
bridegroom chose a pink lace dress with
white accessories and a corsage of red roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Hill left on a honeymoon
to Washington, D. C. They will reside in
Washington St.
