    Alice L. Hoffmeister (Behm) age 102 entered into the arms of the Lord on May 2, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Christian T. Hoffmeister; Loving mother of Paul (Kay) Hoffmeister, Mark (Carol Anne O’Shea) Hoffmeister and Susan Zawodniak. Devoted grandmother of Jason (Beth) Hoffmeister, Joshua (Julie) Hoffmeister, Jennifer (Brian) Gilley, Jeffrey Hoffmeister and Krystian Zawodniak. Great grandmother of seven. Also survived by caring nieces, nephews and friends. Born in the Town of Cambria, Alice resided in North Tonawanda for most of her life. She was a long-time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. 
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Monday from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 AM.     A pretty June wedding was solemnized
    Saturday, June 20 at 4.30
    o'clock in St. Matthews Evangelical
    church, Wheatfield street, when
    Miss Alice Loretta Behm daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Behm of
    50 Sixteenth avenue became the
    bride of Christ Hoffmeister, Jr., ,of
    Monroe street, the Rev. Carl
    Frankenstein performing the caremony.
    The church was beautifully
    decorated with palms and baskets
    of cut flowers. A large arch covered
    with white carnations and
    ferns was suspended immediately
    in front of the altar.
    The bride, given in marriage by
    her father wore a gownof white
    satin trimmed with a chantilly lace
    yoke adorned with satin rose
    petals and small pearl beads, and
    having a long train. Her veil was
    of silk net with chantilly lace
    arranged in cap shape. she wore
    white satin slippers and carried a
    shower bouquet of white roses and
    gypsophila. Mrs. Walter Stenzel,
    sister of the bride, acted as matron
    of honor, her gown being of yellow
    mousseline de sole with matching
    accessories and she carried a bou-
    quet of yellow roses.
    Miss Ruth Feb, maid of honor
    wore pink mousseline de soie,
    matching accessories and carried a
    bouquet of pink roses. Miss Nora
    Behm, was bridesmaid, wearing
    apple green mosseline de sole, with
    green accessories and carried bou-
    quet of yellow roses. All wore lily
    of the valley head bands in their
    hair. Little Marilyn Hoffmeister
    was flower girl, wearing blue or-
    gandie and she carried a basket of
    mixed flowers.
    John Hoffmeister was his brother's
    best man, and the ushers were
    Bernhardt Hoffmeister and Herbert
    Behm. Miss Ruth Fischle
    played the organ and Mrs. Elsa
    Fischle sand "O Promise Me".
    mrs. Behm, the bride's mother
    wore a blue crepe dress with lace
    cape and Mrs. Hoffmeister, the
    groom's mother, a blue flowered
    crepe. Both wore corsages of pink
    roses and sweet peas.
    A wedding supper in the church
    basement followed the ceremony
    with seventy guests present. The
    tables were decorated with roses
    and yellow and white tapers. The
    bride's table with covers laid
    for eight, was centered with a
    tiered wedding cake adorned with
    a miniature bride and groom.
    Later, a reception was held at
    the bride's home, which was deco-
    rated in a yellow and white color
    scheme, with large baskets of cut
    flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffmeister
    have left for a short wedding trip.
    The out of town guests include
    Miss Minnie Hoffmeister, Mr. and
    Mrs. John Klumpp of Buffalo,
    Miss June Baehr of Medina, 7d-
    ward Bartz, Raymond Bartz and
    Ruth Bartz of Newfane, Virginia
    Werth, Elton Behm of Lockport,
    Libby Caprio and Edith Brierly
    of Niagara Falls.

    Mr. and Mrs. Albert Behm
    celebrated their 60th wedding
    anniversary with a reception at
    4 p.m. Sunday in St. Johnsburg
    Fire Hall.
    Mr. Behm, 82, and Mrs.
    Behm, 79, the former Viola
    Jaenecke, reside at 50 16th Ave.,
    North Tonawanda. They were
    married June 22, 1910, in St.
    Peter's Evangelical Lutheran
    Church, North Ridge, by the
    late Rev. John Barkow.
    The couple have two daughters,
    Mrs. Christian Hoffmeister
    and Mrs. Walter Stenzel,
    and a son, Herbert C.
    Behm. They have 10 grandchildren
    and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Mr. Behm retired 12 years
    ago from Buffalo Bolt Co.
    where he worked for 34 years.
    He now spends much of his
    time working in his rose garden.

    Behm, 79 years old, widow of the late
    Auguste Behm, of Cambria, died late
    yesterday at her home in the Lower
    Mountain road, Cambria, following a
    long illness.
    Mrs. Behm came to this country
    from Germany 52 years ago and spent
    the greater part of her life In Niagara
    county. She was an active member
    of the German Lutheran church at
    North Ridge.
    She is survived by four sons, John
    A. Behm of Cambria, Bernard A.,
    Frank F. and Albert A. Behm, all of
    North Tonawanda, and three daughters,
    Mrs. Albert Hahn, Cambria; Mrs.
    C. Nogel, Lockport; and Mrs. George
    Elemer. of North Tonawanda. One
    brother, Albert Hidde, Niagara Falls,
    also survives.
    Funeral services will be held from
    the home Wedneseday afternoon at
    1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock from the
    North Ridge German Lutheran
    church, the Rev. John Barkow. officiating.
    Burial will be in North
    Ridge cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA. - Rites will be held tomorrow afternoon for Christian Jaenecke, 77, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Behm, 60 Sixteenth avenue. The services will be held at the Behm residence at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. Carl Frankenstein, of the St. Matthew's Lutheran church. Interment will be in the North Ridge cemetery. Mr. Jaenecke was a lifelong resident. He was born in the Martinsvllle section of North Tonawanda. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Behm and Mrs. Fred Bartz, the latter of East Wilson; three sons, Christian. Jr., of East Wilson, and Leonard and Albert, of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers. August and William, of North Tonawanda, And three sisters. Mrs. Anna Goltz. of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Elizabeth Kopp, of Ransomville, and Mrs. Mary Hake, of Alden.

    MRS. WILHELMINE JAENECKE
    Mrs. Wilhelmine Jaenecke, 69 years old, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 968 Falls Boulevard, following a brief illness. With the exception of a few years, spent at North Ridge, Mrs. Jaenecke always lived in North Tonawanda. She is survived by a husband, Christian; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Behm, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Fred Bartz, East Wilson; and three sons, Christian, Jr., East Wilson, Leonard and Albert, North Tonawanda. 13 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. William Heschke. Nashville, and two brothers, Henry Kopp, North Tonawanda, and Leonard Kopp, town of Wilson. Funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and 2:30 o'clock from St. Paul's church. Rev. F.A. Hinners will officiate and burial will be at North Ridge.
