The family will be present to receive friends Friday, February 27 from 5-8 PM at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME INC., 5541 Main St. (at Cayuga Rd.) Williamsville. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church, Saturday, February 28 at 10 oclock. Flowers gratefully declined. A memorial Mass for Clarence
A. Beutel III, a Salient Corp. executive killed in the crash of Continental Flight 3407, will be offered at 10 a. m. today in Christ the King Church, Main Street and Lamarck Drive, Snyder.
Mr. Beutel, 50, of Williamsville, died in the Feb. 12 airplane disaster as he was returning home from a business trip.
Known to friends and family as Larry, he was born in Elmhurst, Ill., and raised in Hinsdale, Ill., near Chicago.
He received a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University, where he was president of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and a member of the Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi, and the Chemical Engineering Honor Society, Omega Chi Epsilon.
Mr. Beutel earned an MBA from Harvard University.
He and his wife, Kara, moved to Buffalo in 1992 when he joined Outokumpu American Brass as a marketing manager.
At the time of his death, he was vice president of consulting for Salient in Horseheads, near Elmira, a job for which he traveled the world.
