June 30, 2014 Katherine Kacala Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Mon Jun 30, 2014, 09:31 AM EDT NORTH TONAWANDA - Katherine (nee Russell) Kacala, age 93, of North Tonawanda, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2014 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Katherine enjoyed crocheting and playing BINGO. She was the wife of the late John L. Kacala, Sr.; dear mother of John L. Kacala, Jr. of Wheatfield and Connie (Joseph, Jr.) Vasi of Tonawanda; grandmother of John Kacala III, Kevin Kacala and Michael Vasi. She was the last of four brothers and four sisters; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held yesterday from St. Jude the Apostle R.C. Church. Entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
