He had worked at Durez for over 30 years, and he loved spending time with his family. He was the husband of the late Shari Ann (Wittkopp) Garbus. Beloved father of Richard Garbus, Michael (Kathryn) Garbus, and Amy (Jason) Zwolinski. Grandfather of Rachel, Benjamin, David, Kimberly, Braden, Preston, Madelyn, and the late Steven. Brother of Stan Bien and Robert Bien; uncle of several nieces and nephews.     Shari Ann Garbus (nee Wittkopp), age 73, of North Tonawanda, December 26, 2009 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Shari was a long time leader of Weight Watchers and a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Shari devoted much of her life to her family. Beloved wife of Edward Garbus; mother of Richard Garbus of Dallas, TX, Michael (Kathryn) Garbus of North Tonawanda and Amy (Jason) Zwolinski of Cheektowaga; grandmother of Rachel, Benjamin, David, Steven, Kimberly, Braden, and Preston; sister of the late Francis Wittkopp; aunt of several nieces and nephews.Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.     will he solemnized at 7 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran

    St. Paul's Lutheran Church was the scene May 21

    for the marriage of Miss Shari Ann Wittkopp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wittkopp, 1291 Payne Ave.
    and Edward Richard Garbus of Detroit.
    Mrs. Ada Prohaska was organist
    for the ceremony and Richard Mor-
    ris sand "Because" and "The
    Lord's Prayer."
    The Rev. Theodore Rehkopf per-
    formed the double-ring ceremony
    in a candlelight ceremony at 7 p.m.
    Lilies, snapdragons and white pom-
    poms formed a background for the
    service.
    The bride wore a gown of Chan-
    tilly lace and tulle fashioned with
    a neckline of illusion embroidered
    with sequins and tiny pearls. The
    long lace sleeves were pointed
    over the hands and the very full
    waltz-length skirt was inserted with
    panels of lace and tulle. Her veil
    of silk illusion was caught to a lace
    bando encrusted with sequins and
    pearls. She carried white roses and
    carnations in a cascade bouquet.
    Miss Joyce Freck, maid of honor,
    wore a gown of shaded pink nylon
    net with a pleated bodice, full skirt
    and matching stole. She wore a
    lower tiara in her hair and car-
    ried a cascade bouquet of yellow
    roses and carnations. Weaaring a
    similar costume of powder blue
    wass the bridesmaid, Miss Joanne
    Tremble. She wore a tiara in her
    hair and her cascade bouquet was
    of pink roses and carnations.
    Robert Tremble attended the
    bridegroom as best man and Fran-
    cis Wittkopp and Sherwood Trem-
    ble were ushers.
    A powder blue lace gown was
    chosen by the bride's mother who
    complimented her costume with
    white accessories and a corsage of
    yellow roses.. The bridegroom's
    mother wore an iridescent dress of
    orchid silk, white accessories and
    a corsage of yellow roses.
    Grandmothers of the bride and
    bridegoom, Mrs. Albert Schultz
    and mrs. Anna Garbus wore cor-
    sages with their costumes.
    A reception was given in the
    home of the bride's parents. Deco-
    rations followed a bridal theme of
    white and the table was centered
    with a wedding cake. Among the
    guests were Mr. and Mrs. Edward
    Bein and family, Mr. and Mrs.
    Paul Havarka and family, Mrs.
    John Rompel and family, Mrs.
    Anna Garbus, all of Detroit.
    For her wedding trip to Lub-
    bach, Texas, the bride wore an
    aqua colored suit with white ac-
    cessories and a corsage of white
    flowers. The bridegoom, a mem-
    ber of the U.S. Air Force, recent-
    ly returned from Korea. He and
    his bride will live in Lubbach near
    Reese Air Base where Airman
    Garbus has been assigned.

    Raymond J. Wittkopp age 95 of North Tonawanda, June 10, 2007 in the Odd Fellow & Rebehka Rehabilitation Center, Lockport. Raymond was retired from Durez after 42 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (E. Felton St.) where he was a former elder and treasurer. He had belonged to Deerwood Golf Course and enjoyed golfing. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (nee Tremble) Wittkopp. Father of Shari (Edward) Garbus of North Tonawanda and the late Francis Wittkopp. Father-in-law of Sharon Wittkopp of North Tonawanda. Grandfather of Richard Garbus, Dallas, TX, Michael (Kathryn) Garbus of North Tonawanda, Amy (Jason) Zwolinski of Cheektowaga, Carl Wittkopp and Colleen (Walter) Smolen both of North Tonawanda; great-grandfather of 11 great-grandchildren.     A pretty wedding was solemnized
    Saturday, June 8 at 4 o'clock in
    St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
    Church on East Felton street when
    Miss Geraldine Evelyn Tremble,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
    Schulz of 78 Allen street became
    the bride of Ray Witkop of Niagara
    Falls, the Rev. Rudolph Grabau,
    officiating.
    The bride wore a gown of pink
    mousseline de soie trimmed with
    ruffles and tied with a large blue
    sash in the back, and further
    adorned with a pink ruffled cape.
    She wore a large pink picture hat
    lace mitts and white sandals. Her
    bouquet was of white roses, sweet
    peas and baby breath. Miss Ev-
    elyn Burch, was maid of honor,
    her gown being of powder blue
    taffeta with a puffed sleeve jac-
    ket. She wore a large blue hat
    with lace mitts and white sandals.
    She carried a bouquet of pink ros-
    es, sweet peas and baby breath.
    Wallace Proefrock acted a3 best
    man. Mrs. August Eberbach played
    the wedding march.
    Mrs. Schulz, mother of the bjride
    wore a pink crepe dress and a
    corsage of roses and sweetpeas.
    Mrs. Witkop, the groom's mother,
    wore blue crepe and a corsage
    of roses and sweet peas.
    A wedding supper at the home
    of the bride followed the ceremony.
    Covers were laid for twenty-
    five at the bride's table which
    was centered with a large wedding
    cako decorated with a miniature
    bride and groom. The house was
    decorated in pink and white and
    cut flowers.
    Mr. and Mrs. Witkop have returned
    from a short wedding trip
    and are at home in 78 Allen
    street.
    Among the out of town guests
    were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Witkop
    and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Witkop
    of Niagara Falls.
    Mrs. Harold Tremble of Felton
    street entertained for the bride
    at a variety shower and Mrs.
    Florence Tremble of Stenzel street
    at a bedroom shower.

    WALMORE, N.Y., Sept. 19-Phil-
    lip A. Wittkopp, 64, retired farmer,
    of the Lockport road, died today at
    a Lockport hospital after a long
    period of failing health. Mr. Wlttkopp
    had pneumonia about a year
    ago and never fully recovered. He
    was born on the Lockport road farm
    and was a farmer there until most
    of the land was sold when the Bell
    Aircraft plant was built. Since then
    he had worked at a Tonawanda
    plant. He was a member of st. Peters
    church, Walmore, and was active
    In its organizations.
    Mr. Wittkopp. is survived by his
    wife, Mrs, Anna Profrock Wittkopp
    at home three sons, Clarence, of
    Niagara Falls, NY., and Raymond
    and Edward, both of Tonawanda; one-
    daughter, Mrs. Donald Wendt.
    at home; one sister, Mrs. A. Lang,
    of Niagara Falls, N.Y.., and nine
    grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held from
    the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30
    o'clock and at 3 o'clock at St. Peters
    church. The Rev. Edward A. Grabau
    will offlcate. Interment will be
    in St Peter's cemetery
