Irving Gath, Landscaper, Dies at 33
NORTH TONAWANDA - Irving E. G a t h, 33, of 580 Ward Road, died Sunday (March 27, 1966) in Sister's Hospital, Buffalo, after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of this c i t y , a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and a Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the Laymen's Lutheran League. He was an employee of Trinity Tools Inc. and operated the Gath Landscaping Service. He is survived by his widow, the former Helen Walck; two sons, R a n d a l l and Robert Gath; and two daughters, Wendy and Kathleen Gath. all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gath, this city: three sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Alrene) Pat t e r s o n. Cleveland., Ohio; Mrs. Norman (Norma) Thorn, and Mrs. Nelson (Faith) Goodrich, and a brother Paul E. Gath. all of this city. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Rev. Loren J. Shiley officiating. Burial will be in St Marks Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Wednesday

WALMORE, June 1 - Mr. and
Mrs. Irving Gath, were married
at St. Peter's Lutheran church,
Walmore road. The bride is the
former Helen Walck, Lockport
road, daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. August Walck. Mr. Gath is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Gath,
North Tonawanda.
The Rev. Martin Pempeit read
the ceremony in St. Peter's church,
which was decorated with white
carnations and snapdragons The
bride was given in marriage by her
brother, Melvin Walck. Miss
Doris Walck, sister of the bride,
was maid of honor. The best man
was Ernest Scheibert, Chicago.
Other attendants were the Misses
Gertrude. Bechtel, Faith Gath and
Jane DuBois. Chester Walck and
James Krueger. Linda Pankow and
David Thom were the flower girl
and ring bearer.
For her wedding dress. Miss
Walck chose a gown fashioned of
nylon tulle over satin, with a fit-
ted bodice and cascades of em-
broidered ruffles falling from the
waist to form a cathedral train.
She carried a bouquet of white
roses and stephanotis.
The bridesmaids were attired in
nylon net in pastel shades of orchid
and green.. The flower girl, wore a
similar dress of. white net.
A dinner for 65 guests was
served at St. Mark's Lutheran
church. North Tonawanda, and the
wedding reception was held at
the Bcrgholtz Community hall.
Following a wedding trip
through the New England states,
Mr. and Mrs. Gath are at home,
at 572 Ward, road, North Tonawanda.
