    Notes:

Mildred Hermina Sattelberg, 98, of North Tonawanda passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30th at Buffalo general Hospital, Buffalo, New York.

She was born February 27, 1923, the daughter of Herman and Maude Graff. She was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, New York.

Millie married Lavern E. Sattelberg, June 6, 1942, and they remained together until his passing in 2009.

Millie grew up in North Tonawanda and loved every minute of her life. She would often tell stories about her dad (pa) and how much he cared and loved her. She was a little wild, swimming in the Erie Canal, riding stray horses and riding on motorcycles. Her best friend was her brother “Hermie” who was lost at sea the last day of WWII. During WWII, she was part of “Rosy the Riveter” helping to build aircraft for the war effort. She embraced life and shared her passion for travel and her church with her family. She was a true matriarch, raising four children with all the love and attention possible. She brought them up in the church (St. Martins) on Old Falls Blvd. Life revolved around the church and church activities. She was active in many guilds and other leadership roles in the church where she was a member for over seventy-five years. Her kindness was a gift for all that knew her. She never judged a person, she simply wished the best for everyone and prayed for those in need. Millie and her husband enjoyed camping and every year they would take the family out west for an extended four-week vacation. She would always tell anyone that would listen that she had visited every state in the union and there wasn’t any that she would rather live in than New York!
Everyone that was lucky enough to know her, loved her. She was as gracious in life as she is in death and will be missed greatly. Heaven received another angel.
