    Christian Henry Licht, age 82 of Wheatfield NY, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 24, 2020 at his home in Wheatfield, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late John and Allene Licht, and stepson of Rachel Licht. On June 21st, 1958, he married Alice Pankow. Christian worked at Demler's Cider Mill for 21 years. He also was a pitman for several years for car #99, the Demler Special at Indianapolis Speedway. Christian also was an employee at Ashland Refinery and a truck driver for NOCO. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. One of Christian's favorite hobbies was his large vegetable garden. In addition to his beloved wife of 62 years, Christian is survived by his children, David (Sue), Daniel (Laura), Douglas (Candace) and Darlene (Scott) Nichols. Grandchildren: David (Jenny), Kevin (Ciarra), Kyle (Chelsea), Jayme, Kerri (Jacob), Ryan (Kara), Benjamin, Camryn, Brooke (Nick), Joshua (Katie), Matthew, Jeremiah and Jacob. Great-Grandchildren: Treven, Cayden, Morgan, Liam and baby Lillian. His sister, Gayle Reischel and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings, Doris (Bill), John (Cora) and-Don (Jean).
    Friends may call at the at Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St, North Tonawanda NY, on Friday from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd. North Tonawanda, NY, the Rev. Ernest Green will officiate. Christian will be buried in Wheatfield Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.

    PANKOW – William C. Pankow, 66 of Niagara Falls Blvd., Town of Wheatfield, died suddenly Tuesday morning (Feb. 3, 1959) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
    Mr. Pankow was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen’s League, a charter member of the Adams Fire Co. and was employed at the Carborundum Co. 42 years, retiring a year ago.
    He is survived by his wife Charlotte (nee McGill); four sons, George, Wallace, Vernon and Harld Pankow; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Moll, Mrs. Clarence Heuer and Mrs. Harold Heuer, all of the Town of Wheatfield; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters Mrs. Albert Wrblow and Mrs. Marie Heidenfeldt, both of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Louise Doebler of Newfane; also surviving are a half-brother Arthur Pieper and a half-sister Mrs. Henry Hardy.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. and Ward Rd., where service will be held a 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke will officiate. Interment St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
