    RUTH ANN KLOPFER, age 77 of Wheatfield, NY, was called to her heavenly home on August 8, 2021, at the Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 10, 1944; daughter of the late Benjamin and Dorothy (Heuer) Wolf. A life long member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Bergholz, Ruth was employed as a secretary at the Niagara County Water Plant, and later worked at Niagara County Savings Bank. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to the St. Lawrence River for over 60 years. Ruth also liked fishing, watching ships, bird watching, and most of all, the precious time spent with her loving family.Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert A. Klopfer; children, Diana (Don) Bugenhagen and James (Debbie) Klopfer; two sisters, Helen (Gene) Holden, and Linda Hauenstein; brother in law and sister in law, Glenn and Kathy Klopfer; two grandchildren, Victor and Heather Bugenhagen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Wednesday (August 11) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Kaminska, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

    St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz was the
    setting at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon for the wedding
    of Miss Ruth Ann Wolf and Robert Allan Klopfer.
    The Rev. Robert Lehman officiated
    at the double ring cere-
    mony uniting the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wolf of
    Schultz Street, and the son of
    Mr. and Mrs. John Klopfer of
    Cayuga Street, Bergholz.
    The bride was given in mar-
    riage by her father. She was
    gowned in gardenia white peau
    satin with scoop nekcline in cut
    out Venice lace scattered with
    pearls and sequins and long ta-
    pered sleeves. A fitted elongated
    bodice with gathered bouffant
    skirt fell into a chapel train scat-
    tered with lace motifs caught at
    the back with a butterfly bow
    and streamers.
    A coronet of seed pearls and
    crystals held her bouffant four-
    tiered veil of English silk illu-
    sion. Her flowers were a cas-
    cade bouquet of white roses.
    Miss Helen Wolf served her
    sister as maid of honor wearing
    a powder blue crystal back peau
    satin with a ballet length demi-
    sheath skirt and a floor-length
    overskirt which caught with self
    fabric bow and streamers. Her
    headpiece was Lucerne blue
    hand rolled petals and a mo-
    line veil. She carried a cascade
    bouquet of powder blue mums
    and Lucerne blue pompons.
    The bridesmaids Miss Linda
    Hanes, Miss Linda Wolf, sister
    of the bride, and Miss Lonnie
    Master, cousin of the bride, wore
    the same style gown in Lucerne
    blue with a powder blue head-
    piece in the same style. They
    carried cascade bouquets of pow-
    der blue mums and pompons.
    The flowergirl, Miss Susan
    Wolk, cousin of the bride, wore
    the same style gown in powder
    bllue and her headpiece was a
    powder blue veil and bow. She
    carried a basket of light and Lu-
    cerne blue pompons.
    Glenn Klopfer was best man
    for his brother. Robert Mueller,
    William Fuerch and David Mil-
    ler were ushers.
    The bride's mother wore a
    champagne brocade sheath
    dress, with Chanel matching
    jacket; the bridegroom's mother
    wore a blue dress. Both moer-
    ers wore red rose corsages.
    After a reception at the Berg-
    holz Fire Hall, Mr. and Mrs.
    Klopfer will leave for a motor
    trip through New York, Pennsyl-
    vania and Ohio. They will reside
    at 2430 Cayuga St., Bergholz.

    Dorothy E. Wolf (Heuer), age 85, of Bergholz, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on August 23, 1923 to the late John and Esther (Mueller) Heuer.Dorothy was employed for many years as a custodian with the Niagara Wheatfield School District and worked for the Niagara County Board of Elections. She was a life long resident of Bergholz, a life long member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, member of the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Wheatfield Seniors and the Wheatfield Republican Club. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and euchre tournaments. She was a senior volunteer at Northgate and Crestwood nursing care facilities, and the Errick Road BEN program.Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Wolf on November 17, 1980, and a brother, Clarence Heuer.     Falls, at an attractive double ring
    ceremony at St. James' Lutheran
    church, this village, on April 11,
    at 3 p. m.
    The bride, who wore a white
    satin gown made on princess lines
    with a long veil and carried a
    shower bouquet of white roses and
    narcissi, was given in marriage by

    her father. She was attended by
    Miss Alma Wolf, sister of the
    groom, as maid of honor and the
    Misses Eloise Camann and Lorraine
    Pankow as maids of honor.
    Mr. Harold Heuer. brother of
    the bride, acted as best man. and
    Mr. Lewis Heuer. cousin of the
    bride and Mr. John Wolf, brother
    of the groom, acted as ushers.
    The church was decorated with
    palms and roses for the ceremony
    and vocal selections were presented
    by Miss Lois Voelker. Miss Phyllis
    Voelker and Miss Lillian Heuer.
    Mr. Theodore Gragau. organist.
    played "Jesus Still Lead On," during
    the ceremony.
    A reception at Bergholtz Community
    hall was held after the
    ceremony with 140 guests present.
    The bride's table, at which covers
    for 16 were laid, was decorated with
    roses and a three-tiered wedding
    cake.
    The bride and groom left after
    the reception oh a trip to New York
    city. They will live at the home of
    the bride's parents.
    Showers were given in honor of
    the bride by Mrs. Elmer Wolf and
    Mrs. Arthur Wolf. Miss Alma Wolf.

    Mrs. Wolf 's Rites Slated
    NORTH TONAWANDA-Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Stang Wolf, 71, of 2260 Jagow Road, Wheatfield, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fretthold Funeral Home and at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church by Rev. Robert Lehman. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Wolf died Wednesday (April 18, 1962) at Sisters of Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. She was a member of St. James Church and a former member of its Ladies Aid Society.
    Surviving are five sons, Benjamin P. Wolf, Wheatfield, Maj. Arthur Wolf, Glen Burnie, Md., Edwin Wolf, Sanborn, John Wolf, Wheatfield, and Kenneth Wolf, stationed at White Sands, N. M. with the Navy; three daughters, Mrs. Chester (Alma) Campbell, Mrs. Francis (Louise) Dish, both of the Town of Tonawanda, and Miss Lena Wolf, at home; a sister Miss Hulda Stang, this city; and 11 grandchildrenÉ [the rest is missing].

    John Heuer, charter member of Bergholz Fire Company, dies
    John A. Heuer, 79, a charter member of the First Volunteer Fire Company of Bergholz, died today in DeVeaux Manor Nursing Home in Niagara Falls.
    Mr. Heuer, of 6906 Errick Road, Wheatfield, was a lifelong resident of that town, and a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the St. James Brotherhood.
    A long-time fire chief in Bergholz, he was a member of many volunteer firemen's and fire chiefs associations. These included the Niagara County Volunteer Fire Chiefs Association, New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, Niagara County Volunteer Firemen's Association, State of New York Firemen's Association and Western New York Firemen's Association.
    He also was a member of the Retired Men's Service Club of the Niagara Frontier, the Wheatfield Democratic Club and the Senior Citizens of the Town of Wheatfield.
    In 1966, he received the Fire Service Award of the Western New York Volunteer Firemen's Association for "betterment of fire service in the community."
    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Dorothy) Wolf and Mrs. Roy (Lydia) Masters; three sons, Clarence, Harold and James Heuer, all of Wheatfield; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry of North Tonawanda, and the Rev. Louis Heuer of Grove City, Ohio, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Voelker of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Fred Dinger of Winterhaven, Fla.
    Services will be conducted in St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.

    Mrs. Esther E. Heuer. 77, of 2426 Jagow Road, Town of Wheatfield, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1971) in Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.
