Mrs. Bertha Proefrock, 53, of 180 Witmer Rd., died yesterday in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Germany, she had lived in the Tonawandas 13 years and was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church. Surviving are her husband, Edward; her mother, Mrs. Anna Klenk; three brothers, Hugo of North Tonawanda; Carl, New York City; Hans, Germany; three stepsons, Wallace, Herbert and Warren Proefrock, of the Tonawandas; a stepdaughter, Mrs. John Britton, Niagara Falls. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St. The Rev. J. J. Braun will officiate. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.Bertha married PROEFROCK, Edward Johann Christian about 1945. Edward (son of PROEFROCK, Christian Friedrich and SEEFELDT, Wilhelmine Therese) was born on 14 Aug 1890 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; died on 4 Aug 1976 in Cuba, Allegany County, NY.
