Mr. Werth was a lifelong resident of No.Tonawanda, a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, the Gratwick Hose Co., and the Firemen's Benevolent Assoc. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude (nee Gath) Werth; a son, Donald (June) Werth of Boston, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Ann) Proefrock of Port Crane, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Broecker and Mrs. Wilbert (Hilda) Dernier, both of No. Tonawanda; a brother, Raymond (Alberta) Werth of Summerfield, Fla.     WERTH – Augusta A. Werth, 94, of the Town of Amherst, Tuesday (November 16, 1976) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Werth was the oldest living member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

    She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Mollie) Broecker of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Wilbert (Hilda) Demler of the Town of Amherst; three sons, Edward H., Raymond A., and Erwin H. Werth, all of North Tonawanda, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

    The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. this evening from 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held in St. Mark Lutheran Church Friday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Thomas K. Spahn will officiate. Interment in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Edward H. Gath, 82, of 21 E. Felton St., died Tuesday (June 14, 1966) at his home after a long illness. Born in Wolcottsburg, he lived in this citv for the last 75 years. Mr. Gath was a 4th Ward Alderman for two terms in the 1920's. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Gratwick Hose Co.. a past president of the fire company, North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent Association, director of the Frontier Cooperative Insurance Co., and a 25 Year Club member of the Remington Rand Sweeney Street plant. He was the husband of the late Louise Gath. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Gertrude) Werth and Miss Ruth Gath, both of this city, Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Schimschack, Wheatfield; a son, Howard E. Gath; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Strassburg and Mrs. Edward Wienke, all of this city, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Frethold Funeral Home by Rev. Loren Shiley. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery.

    William J. G. Werth, 80 years old, a well known resident of North Tonawanda,
    died at the DeGraff Memorial hospital on Tuesday night after a lingering illness. The body was removed to the home of his son, William Werth, at No. 60 Jackson avenue. Mr. Werth was born in Germany and had lived here over a half a century, He is survived by two sons, Hubert Werth of Lockport and William Werth of Gratwick; three daughters, Mrs. William Volchow of Lockport, Mrs. Joseph Roulley of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Fred Berg of Burt, and one brother, John Werth of Germany. The
    funeral will be held from the Werth home on Jackson avenue at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and a half hour later from St. Mark's church on Washington street, the Rev. Martin Human officiating. Burial will be in Bergholtz.

    LOUIS GATH
    Louis Gath, sixty-seven years old, a well-known Gratwlck resident, died at the General hospital in Buffalo last night, where he underwent an operation ten days ago. He was born in Germany and came to America, locating in North Tonawanda, some fiftyfive years ago. He was a wagon maker by occupation. Surviving are three sons, Fred, Louis and Edward Gath; four daughters, Mrs. John Doebler, Mrs. John Hermann and the Misses Jessie and Grace Gath and one brother, Fred Gath, of Michigan. The body was brought to the family home at No. 46 Felton Street this morning where the funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and a half hour later from the St. Mark's church, on Washington street, the Rev. Martin Hemann officiating. Buiral will be made in Elmlawn.

    p. m. Wednesday and from the Zlon
    Lutheran church, Cayuga drive, at
    2:30 p. m., with the Rev. George

    Mr. and Mrs. Henry Strassburg celebrated their golden wedding at the
    parish house of the Zlon Lutheran church. La Salle. About 100 persons, members
    of the congregation and friends, of the couple-partook of a dinner which
    was the feature of the celebration. The interior of the parish house was attractively
    decorated in white and gold and yellow roses were on the tables.
    Mr. and Mrs. Strassburg were married on January 22, 1880, in Bergholtz. by
    the Rev. Mr. Welnbach, and resided for a short time on the Niagara Falls
    boulevard. For the last 35 years they have lived in the La Salle section. Their
    descendants number six sons, three daughters, 27 grandchildren and one great
    grandchild.
    At the dinner guests were present from this city, Lcckport, the Tonawandas,
    Town Line and Buffalo. The Rev. Mr. Hoyer briefly addressed, the assemblage
    after which a hymn was sung. A large bouquet of daffodils was presented to Mr.
    and Mrs. Strassburg by the Ladles Aid society of the church.
