    WHEATFI.ELD - Harold A. Proefrock, 69, of Nash Road, died Sunday (May 27, 1990) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital.
    He was born in Altamont, ILl., and moved to the area in1940. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, where be was a former Sunday school teacher, superintendent, trustee and elder. He was an exempt member of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company, which he had belonged to for 38 years.
    Proefrock was the former owner of A & H Boulevard Garage and was a former operator of the Bergholz Garage for about 20 years. He was also employed at Sisson Building Supplies for several years before his retirement in 1965.
    He served as vice president of the Niagara Lutheran Brotherhood Branch No. 8132 and was a former president of the Niagara Area and Eastern District of the Brotherhood of the former American Lutheran Church.
    Proefrock is survived by his wife, Winifred (Milleville) Proefrock; one daughter, Joanne Haniszewski of Pendleton; one brother, Vernon Proefrock of Prescott, Ariz.; and three sisters, Dorothy Hack of Effingham, ILl., Evelyn Herrick of Summerfield, Fla., and Mildred Conrad of Utica, ILl.
    He is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz, where a memorial service by the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. David B. Menz in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz.
    Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.

    Services for Harold A. Proefrock, 69, a former garage operator, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
    The Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company will hold a memorial service at 6:45 this evening in the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road.
    Proefrock died Sunday (May 27, 1990) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after a long illness.
    Born in Altamont, ILl., he moved to this area in 1940.
    He had owned A&H Boulevard Garage and had operated Bergholz Garage for about 20 years. He worked for Sisson's Building Supply before he retired in 1965.
    He was a member of St. James Church and a former Sunday school teacher there. He also served as a superintendent, trustee and elder of the church.

    WHEATFIELD - Winifred Proefrock, a talented Danish needle painter, died Wednesday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, after a brief illness. She was 81.

    Born Winifred Milleville in Wheatfield, she attended St. James Lutheran School and was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church and its Women of the Church, quilters and choir. She also taught Sunday school for more than 25 years.

    Mrs. Proefrock was a member of the Bergholz Historical Society. She worked in production at an area factory during World War II. Her husband, Harold A., died in 1990.

    Survivors include a daughter, Joanne Haniszewski of Pendleton; a brother, Richard Milleville of Bergholz; four sisters, Florence Mielke of Wheatfield, Beatrice Nehrboss of Akron, Janice Kysor of Lewiston and Alice Lange of Wheatfield; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. James Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street, Bergholz. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    MILLEVILLE - Hugo A. Milleville, 69, of 2049 Cayuga Drive Extension, Town of Wheatfield, died Thursday (Feb. 8, 1962) in St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls, after a brief illness. Mr. Milleville was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield.     John W. Milleville, 83, died yesterday morning at his home on the Old Falls Boulevard, Town of Wheatfield. He was a lifelong resident of the town and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Helen, nee Milleville; four sons, Hugo and Carl of the town of Wheatfield, Edgar of Marshfield, WI., and Martin of the town of Lewiston; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred Walck of St. Paul, Mrs. Edward DeVantier of Niagara Falls and Helen and Elsie at home; 32 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Ferchen and Mrs. Bertha DeVantier of the town of Wheatfield.
