    WHEATFIELD - Bryn D. Ziemendorf, 6, died Sunday (Sept. 14, 1997) and Nicholas L. Ziemendorf, 4, died Wednesday (Sept. 17; 1997) in the McMaster Medical Centre, Hamilton, Ont., after suffering injuries in an automobile accident. Bryn was born Aug. 8, 1991, in Lockport, and Nicholas was born June 24, 1993, in Lockport, the sons of David L. and Melanie L. (Licht) Ziemendorf of Slusaric Road.
    Bryn was a first-grader at Starpoint Central School. Nicholas attended preschool classes at Holy Ghost Lutheran School. In addition to their parents, they are survived by a sister, Lindsay M. Ziemendorf; their grandparents, Lee and Donna Licht. of Wheatfield and Lloyd and Betty Jane Ziemendorf of Wheatfield; their great-grandparents, Harriet and Wallace Krull, LeGrand and Lanette Licht, all of North Tonawanda, and Dorothy Schoenthal of East Aurora; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn. The Rev. David F. Ellis will conduct services at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 64 Felton St., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to a children's charity of one's choice.

    Services for Bryn David Ziemendorf, 6, and his brother, Nicholas Lee Ziemendorf, 4, both of Slusaric Road, will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 64 Felton St., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.
    The brothers died in McMaster Medical Centre, Hamilton, Ont., of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Sunday on the Queen Elizabeth Way near Grimsby, Ont.
    Bryn, who died on Sunday (Sept. 14, 1997), was in the first grade at Starpoint Central School. Nicholas, who died on Wednesday (Sept. 17, 1997), attended the preschool class at Holy Ghost Lutheran School, Bergholz. The boys were born in Lockport.
    Survivors include their parents, David L. and Melanie L.; a sister, Lindsay Marie; maternal grandparents, Lee and Donna Licht; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Betty Jane Ziemendorf; and great grandparents, Harriett and Wallace Krull and LeGrand and Lanette Licht, all of North Tonawanda, and Dorothy Schoenthal of East Aurora.

    TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Betty Jane (Schoenthal) Ziemendorf, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, died Tuesday June 8, 2010, in the DeGraff Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Betty Jane was born in Buffalo, NY on February 8, 1939, the daughter of Dorothy (Gilbert) Schoenthal and the late Harold Schoenthal. She resided in the Town of Elma as a child, where she attended local schools and was a member of the second graduating class of the Iroquois Central High School, in 1957. She moved to the Town of Wheatfield following her marriage to Lloyd V. Ziemendorf in 1962. She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church North Tonawanda, NY, where she was current president of the Congregational Council of the church and active in Synodical activities. She was the former Office Manager of Frontier Co-op Fire Insurance Association and had served as Office Manager, Commercial Underwriter and Vice President of United Frontier Mutual Insurance Co., prior to her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, especially quilting for Project Linus, for Children's Hospital, and making Prayer Shawl's for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Spending time in the garden and being with family was most important to her, especially with her grandchildren. Betty Jane is survived by her mother, Dorothy; her husband of 48 years, Lloyd; her three children, David Ziemendorf, Carol (David) Wunderlich, and Donald (Melissa) Ziemendorf; three brothers, Ray (Dorothy) Schoenthal, Harvey (June) Schoenthal and David (Linda) Schoenthal; loving grandmother of Sara (Joshua), Lindsay, William, Nathan, Austin, Brandon, and Aaron; and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Bryn and Nicholas Ziemendorf. The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road on Saturday, from 7-9 PM, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 64 East Felton Street, North Tonawanda, NY. Interment will be in the Wheatfield Cemetery.     Of Wheatfield, passed away on  Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Elderwood at Grand Island. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 25, 1941, a son of the late LeGrand A. and Margaret [Western] Licht, Sr.
    Mr. Licht was a machine repairman with Columbus McKinnon and later with the General Motors Tonawanda Powertrain, for over 25 years before retiring in 2006.
    He was a race car enthusiast, racing cars at Ransomville and later becoming a member of a pit crew.
    Mr. Licht enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, and his cabin and was an avid Bills and Sabres fan.
    He is survived by his wife of 62 years Donna  [Rankin] Licht, his children Melanie Ziemendorf, James, Raymond, Judith Lafler, Lee (Susan) and David, four grandchildren Lindsay, Austin, Tayla and Terrance, two great grandchildren Hollis and Hayden, his siblings Douglas (Peggy), Keith (Terri) and Timothy Licht, Jacalyn (Chuck) Staub,  Randy (Janice), Jamie ( late Maddy) and Darcy Licht.
    Mr. Licht was the grandfather of the late Bryn and Nicholas Ziemendorf and brother of the late James Licht.
    His family will be present on Friday from 4-7 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Meghan James officiating.

    of peach color roses and
    gladioli petals.
    Robert Titterington was best,
    man. Ronald Popp and Douglas
    Licht - were ushers and Randy
    Licht, ringbearer.
    The bride's mother wore
    brown chiffon dress with beige
    and brown accessories. The bride-
    groom's mother chose a pink
    Chantilly lace dress and white accessories.
    Both wore corsages to
    harmonize with their attire.
    Blue and white streamers and
    wedding bells decorated the Ma-
    sonic Temple in Sweet Home Rd.
    for a buffet supper which followed
    the ceremony.
    The couple traveled to the Adir-
    ondack Mountains on a wedding
    trip. They will be at home after
    Sept. 10 in 314 Linwood Ave.,
    North Tonawanda.
