    TOWN OF WHEATFIELD~ William R. Ziemendorf, 73, of Ward Road, died Monday (April 19,1993) in Mount St. Mary 's Hospital after a long illness.
    A native of the Town of Wheatfield he was born May 8, 1919 to Reinhard and Alma (Wendt) Ziemendorf, now deceased.
    Mr. Ziemendorf was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving from 1942 until 1946. He was employed at Wendt's Dairy in Niagara Falls as a plant engineer for 37 years, retiring in 1984.
    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, where he served as Elder and Treasurer. He was also a lay delegate of the Eastern District Church Council (sic) of the American Lutheran Church. He was a member of the National Association of Power Engineers, the Western New York Historical Society and the. American Legion Post No. 969 in Sanborn, where he was treasurer 30 years. He was an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company. He was past president of the Niagara Falls Chapter of the Lay Society Diabetic Association. He. was a former member of the Town of Wheatfield Board of Assessment Review.
    He is survived by his wife, Betty (Patterson) Ziemendorf of the Town of Wheatfield; two daughters, Beverly J. Ziemendorf and Sarah A. Coffey, both of Sanborn; two sons, Robert W. Ziemendorf of Scarborough, Ont., and Brian L. Ziemendorf of Niagara Falls; a sister, Elizabeth Milleville of Sanborn; a brother, Lloyd V. Ziemendorf of Niagara Falls; and seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jane Ziemendorf.
    Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, with the Rev. Allen Griep officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wheatfield. Memorials maybe made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Building Fund or the Tri-Community Ambulance Service, Inc., P.O. Box 241, Sanborn, N.Y. 14132.

    William R. Ziemendorf, 73, of Ward Road, a retired plant
    engineer at Wendt's Dairy, died Monday (April 19, 1993) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
    A native of Wheatfield, Ziemendorf served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and was a member of Post 969, American Legion, in Sanborn, where he was treasurer for 30 years. He was a plant engineer at Wendt's for 37 years, retiring in 1984.
    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Sanborn, where he had served as an elder and treasurer.     Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

    Betty P. Ziemendorf (Patterson), age 83, of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, formerly of Sanborn, entered into rest on Monday, May 5, 2008, while at the facility. Born in Ithaca, NY, on April 1, 1925 to the late Henry and Bessie (Rolfe) Patterson. She was a longtime member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Walmore and was a past treasurer of both the church and school. Betty was employed at Gellman and Gellman Attorneys and as a business manager at WHLD Radio. She was a member of the American Legion Sanborn Post 969 Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, quilting and reading. Survivors include four children, Beverly J. Ziemendorf of Sanborn, Robert W. (Shirley) Ziemendorf of Scarborough, Ontario, Brian L. (Carol) Ziemendorf of Niagara Falls and Sarah A. Coffey of Sanborn; seven grandchildren, Jason (Petra) Coffey, Ryan (Michael) Keaton, Erin Coffey, Eric Ziemendorf, Matthew (Amanda) Ziemendorf, Peter Ziemendorf and Michael Ziemendorf; two brothers, Russell (Geraldine) Patterson and Merle (late Elsie) Patterson, both of Ithaca; brother-in-law, Lloyd (Betty Jane) Ziemendorf and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (late Albert) Milleville. She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Ziemendorf on April 19, 1993. They were united in marriage November 18, 1944; four brothers, Ralph, Lawrence, Kenneth and Minor Patterson; and two sisters, Alice Patterson and Claire Lewton.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.     Henry T. Patterson, 87, of 708 Edgewater Drive, Tonawanda, father of a Sanborn resident, died unexpectedly Saturday (March 27, 1971) at home. Born in this area, he had lived in Tonawanda for a year and-a-half, after moving from Ithaca. Survivors include his wife, Bessie E.
