    Roger A. Williams of Newfane, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Eastern Niagara Hospital of Newfane. Born September 23, 1930 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Arthur E.G. and Alvina (nee Wittcop) Williams. Roger had worked at Harrison Radiator as a production worker for 30 years. He retired in 1983. Roger married Jeanne Ferguson June 4, 1960 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Ridgewood. An Army veteran, he served his country during the Korean War in the 125th Division 14th Infantry Tank Company as a gunner. He achieved the rank of Corporal. Roger loved his family and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church for 49 years, serving on the church council for 24 years, was financial secretary for 20 years and also served as trustee. His loving wife, Jeanne Williams, survives him; dear father of Barbara Williams of Newfane, Paul Williams of Newfane, Norma Jeanne (John) Jacobs of Wheatfield and Robert Williams of Wheatfield; brother of Reverend Edwin (Carol) Williams of Omaha, NE, Kathryn Klotzbach of Medina and Richard (Sharon) Williams of Lockport; brother-in-law of James (Martha) Ferguson of Lockport; loving grandfather of Siana and Mackenzie Jacobs; several nieces and nephews also survive him. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.     Obituary of Jeanne Williams

    The earth life of Jeanne Carol Williams of Newfane, New York, ended peacefully on November 29, 2021.  As promised by her Lord and Savior in faith she has received His gift of eternal life.  She was under the loving care of her family, assisted by the staff of Elderwood at Wheatfield and Niagara Hospice.                                        
    Born September 16, 1934 in Appleton, NY she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Ruth (nee Klumpp) Ferguson and sister of the late Joan.
    Jeanne was a graduate of Barker Central School Class of 1952 and St. Joseph’s Academy, Lockport Class of 1953 from the secretarial program. She was employed from 1953 until 1961 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Niagara County.  She enjoyed working with the 4-H program with fond memories of Niagara County and NYS fairs.  She returned to work part-time in 1974 and spent 23 years as receptionist for the offices of Dr. Prayoon Prabharasuth.
    A lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, NY, Jeanne humbly served her Lord best from the age of 14 by sharing her gift of music across generations at Immanuel.  She taught Sunday School, organized Christmas programs, and played for many weddings and funerals.  A self-taught organist she retired in 2017 after 52 years of faithful service.
    While raising her family she participated in her children’s activities as well as her own.  Any outside activity became a family event, working together, each sharing their talents. Jeanne was a member of the Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and served as President for two years.  Other activities included being Treasurer for the hospital gift shop and volunteering to help at blood mobiles and fundraisers. She enjoyed being a traditional mom and overseeing her household.
    Married June 4, 1960 to Roger A. Williams, he predeceased her on March 3, 2009.  Together they were blessed with four children.  She is the dear mother of Barbara Williams, Newfane, NY; Paul Williams, Newfane, NY; Norma Jeanne (John) Jacobs of Wheatfield, NY; and Robert (Kara) Williams of Orchard Park, NY and the loving Grandma of Siana and Mackenzie Jacobs, Carson and Olivia Williams, and Austin Hoelscher.
    She is survived by her brother, James (Martha) Ferguson Lockport, NY, brother-in-law Richard (late Sharon) Williams, Lockport, NY, and sister-in-law Carol (late Rev. Edwin) Williams of Omaha, NE.  She was also the sister-in-law of the late David Rhoadhouse and Kathryn (Glenn) Rhoadhouse-Klotzbach of Medina, NY.  As an aunt, she is survived by 11 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.
    Family and friends are invited to visitation at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY on Friday, December 3rd from 3-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.  at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, New York with the Rev.     Cambria Man Stricken Doing Farm Work Dies
    SANBORN-Arthur E. G. Williams, 64, of 6048 Baer Road, died Monday (March 6, 1967) after suffering an apparent heart attack while at work on his Town of Cambria farm.
    Mr. Williams was born in Sanborn and had operated a farm in the area most of his life. He also had been employed 15 years at Norton's Laboratory in Lockport. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport. He is survived by his widow, the former Alvina Wittcopp; three sons, Rev. Edwin Williams, Wall, S.D.; Roger Williams, Newfane, and Richard Williams, North Tonawanda; a daughter, Mrs. David (Kathryn) Rhoadhouse, Gasport, and two brothers, Rev. Walter Williams, Maumee, OH, and Melvin Williams, Ransomville. Mr. Williams is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Alice) Beutel, and Mrs. Alfred (Martha) DeVantier, both of Sanborn; Mrs. William (Josephine) Buerger, Bcrgholtz, and, Mrs. James (Esther) Holladay, Charlotteville, Va., five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport, Rev. Ernest E. Heuer officiating. Friends may call at Pike and Jones Funeral Home, Sanborn, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and noon until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family said contributions to the Organ Memorial Fund, Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport, would be acceptable as tributes.

    emnlzed at 7:30 o'clock, on Thursday
    evening, In Trinity Lutheran Church
    when Alvina Wittcopp, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Albert Wittcopp. of Lockport
    became the bride of Arthur Williams
    son of Mr. Edward Williams of Sanborn
    The Rev. Meyers performed the
    ceremony. The church was decorated with
    palms and ferns and the ceremony was
    performed under a beautiful white ???.
    The bride, who was given in marriage
    by her father, looked lovely in a whhite
    bridal satin gown, made longer in the
    back and trimmed with lace ruffles and
    rhinestones and long streamers
    with orange blossoms falling from her
    shoulder. Her veil was embroidered and
    arranged in coronet style with pearls
    and rhinestones she carried a shower
    boquet tied with white and silver rib-
    bons.
    The maid of honor, Miss Esther Wil-
    liams was gowned in light blue georg-
    ette. The bridesmaids were Miss Mil-
    dred Schultz gowned in pink georgette.
    Miss Clara Bartlet gowned in purple
    color georgette and Mrs. William
    Berger, Jr. gowned in nile green.
    They all wore white stockings and
    slippers and carried arm bouquets of
    pink roses tied with pink ribbons.
    Arthur Wittcopp was the best man
    and the ushers were, Walter Williams,
    Melvin Williams, Raymond Schultz, and
    William Berger, Jr.
    Immediately following the ceremony
    a reception was held at the home of
    the bride's parents in Lockport covers
    were laid for twenty-five at the bride's
    table which was centered with a won-
    derful wedding cake and white chrys-
    anthemums.
    Guests were present from Niagara
    Falls, LaSalle, Bergholtz, Walmore,
    Sanborn, Tonawanda, Martinsville and
    Lockport. Mr. and Mrs. Williams will
    make their home on the Lockport Rd.

He was born In the Lockport road and had resided on the same farm all his, life. For the last 15 years he had conducted a gasoline service station at the corner of the Lockport and Ward roads.     LOCKPORT, Feb. 23 - Mrs.
    Louise H. Wittcopp, 81, widow of
    Albert Wittcopp, died yesterday at
    Lockport City Hospital.
    Born in the former Village of
    LaSalle. Sept. 8, 1873, she was the
    daughter of Carl Meyers and Henrietta
    Krueger. The family moved
    to Buffalo shortly after her birth
    and she lived there until her marriage
    when she moved to. Cambria
    where her husband operated a farm
    until his death in January, 1953.
    They observed their golden wedding
    in 1952. . ,
    Surviving are a son, Arthur A.,
    Lewiston; a daughter. Mrs. A. L.
    Williams, Lockport: two brothers,
    Rudolph and Albert Meyers, Sanborn,
    and three sisters, Mrs. Leonard

    Mrs. John Yaude, all'of Niagara
    Falls.

    NEWFANE—John F. Klumpp, 91, a resident in this area for 50 years, died Sunday (Oct. 2, 1966) in Niagara Lutheran Nursing Home, Buffalo, where he had been a patient briefly. For the last 10 years, Mr. Klumpp had lived with a daughter, Miss Freda Klumpp, at 24 Bell St., Buffalo. He was born in Buffalo, Jan. 24, 1875, a son of Bernhardt and Mary Gulkelberger Klumpp. He married Katherine Heck, in Buffalo, Oct. 25, 1899. She died in 1952 at Ridgewood, where they were making their home at the time. Mr. Klumpp was a farmer throughout his life, retiring in 1953. He was a life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, where he served as trustee for many years. Survivors include two sons, Elmer Klumpp, Appleton, and Walter Klumpp, Lockport; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Lillian) Heckel, Buffalo, Mrs. Hiram (Ruth) Ferguson, Newfane, Mrs. Kathleen Kaufman, Lockport, Miss Freda Klumpp, Buffalo, and Mrs. Kenneth (Alice) Berner, Gasport; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rev. August Kruetz of Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate at services at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
