    Allen R. Stoelting, age 95, of the Town of Wheatfield, died November 19, 2007 at his home. Allen was born April 1, 1912; his parents were the late Herman and Elsie (nee Witkop) Stoelting. Allen was a U.S. Army Veteran and a 65 year member of American Legion Post 264. He worked for Continental Can for 45 years, retiring in 1977. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Old Falls Blvd.), a member of the Lutheran Layman's League and had served as a Scout Master. He was the husband of the late Margaret A. Stoelting, who died in 1999. Beloved mother of James (Lynda) Stoelting of Lockport, Charles (Lucille) Stoelting of Marengo, IA, Beatrice (Leonard) Hapeman of North Tonawanda, Margaret E. Stoelting and Merle Stoelting, both of Wheatfield and the late Alice Stoelting. Grandfather of Brian Hapeman, Cheryl Schultz, Melinda Crow, Lucas, Jaramie, James and Joseph Stoelting. Great-grandfather of Amber, Todd, Kristen and Jeremy Schultz, Gabrielle and Elsie Stoelting. Brother of the late Clarence Stoelting, Erna Scholz and Doris Peryea. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda, on Tuesday from 2-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. The Rev. Karl Haeussler will officiate.     H. W. Stoelting Dies at Sanborn
    SANBORN, Nov. 8 - Herman W. Stoelting, 77, of the Upper Mountain road, died suddenly last evening at his home, following a heart attack. Born in Bergholtz, Mr. Stoelting was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed by the Wurlitzer Manufacturing company, North Tonawanda for the last 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. North Tonawanda. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Witkop Stoelting; two sons, Clarence, Sanborn, and Allen Stoelting, North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Scholz, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Leo Peryea, Sanborn; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Julius Stoelting, Bergholtz, and a sister, Mrs. Augusta Strassburg, Sanborn. The body will be at the family home, Upper Mountain road, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 o'clock at St. Paul's* church. The Rev. Frederick Hinners will officiate. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery.

    a veteran of three wars in Germany
    died last night at his home on the Ruie
    lead after a lingering illness. Mr.
    Bartel was born In Germany. He
    fought with the troops of that country
    in the wars of 1864. 1866 and 1870. He
    came to America and took up his rest
    fence in North Tonawanda forty-one
    years ago. He had lived here since.
    Surviving are three sons, Fredinand

    SANBORN - Mrs. Henrietta Meyers, age 87. died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Leonard Mante in Elm street, on Monday evening after a brief illness. Mrs. Meyers is survived by three sons. William, of Buffalo: Albert, of Shawnee, and Rudolph Meyers, of Pekin; four daughters, Mrs. Albert Witcop, of Lockport: Mrs. Gustav Blank and Mrs. John Yaude, of Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Leonard Mante of Sanborn; two brothers. Rudolph Kuhlman, of Niagara Falls, and Charles Kuhlman, of Buffalo, a sister, Mrs. Pauline Schroeder; also 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Leonard Mante, in Elm street tomorrow at 2 p. m. and at St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran church in Upper Mountain road at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Christian Schmidt will officiate and interment will be in St. Andrew's cemetery, Pekin.
