    Obituary of Donald R. Clark

    Donald R. Clark of Ransomville husband of 59 years to Betty Jean (Blank) Clark passed away on April 24th, 2019 at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital following a great fight with kidney failure. He was born on May 29, 1942 son of the late James and late Elsie Miller Clark of Ransomville. Donald graduated from Wilson Central High School in 1960. On October 15, 1960 he married Betty Jean Blank whom he met at the Catarach Cavalers Drum and Bugle Corp.  Donald worked for Sanborn Milling Co. for 44 years and at Fleckenstein Machine following his retirement. Donald enjoyed playing Santa Claus for organizations, enjoyed hunting with his family and best friend Jack in the Catskills. He was an avid sports fan of the Sabres, Bills and the Mets. He was a past President of Mutual Milling and Feed Dealers of WNY. Donald was a life member of the Sanborn Fire Co. and exempts, Niagara County and the NYS Volunteer Fireman Associations, the National Rifle Association, the Golden Eagle and the North American Hunting Club. Donald was past President  of the Pioneer Sportsman’s Club, past member of the Wilson Conservation Club and the Franklinville Sportsman’s Club, board member of the Iroquois Arms Collectors Association, Treasurer and member of the Niagara Co. SCOPE, past Treasurer and member for the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club, Charter member of the Crossbow Association of American and NY and the NYS Rifle and Pistol Association. Donald was a member and past President of the Ransomville Lions Club, Lions International, recipient of  the Lions Vision Beyond Sight Humanitarian Service award 1999-2000, and recipient of  the Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service award in recognition of outstanding service.
     
    Surviving is his wife Betty Jean; 5 sons, Robert (Dawn), Richard (Lynne), Ronald (Tina), Russ (Michelle) and Randall (Nancy); his grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel (Kelsey), Ryan (Liz), Justin (Megan), Teagan, Raechelle (John), Tiffany, Rachel, Michael; step grandchildren Emily and Shawn and 3 great grandchildren; sister Mary Ann (Dale) McRorie; brother in law Fred (Elaine) Blank and sister in law Linda Moxham.

    and her aunt made, Miss Betty Jean Blank became
    the bride of Donald Robert Clark.
    Rev. Donald G. Rehkopf officiated at the
    double-ring nuptials on Saturday (Oct. 15, 1960)
    at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
    The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Sylvester Blank, Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn.
    The bridegroom is'the son of Mr. and Mrs.
    James Clark, Estes Place, Ransomvllle.

    THE BRIDE'S AUNT, Mrs. Clara Beyer of
    Sanborn, helped fashion the floor-length bridal
    gown of nylon lace over satin. It was styled with
    a Sabrina neckline edged with seed pearls.
    An organdy cap held the bride's fingertip
    veil, and she carried a bouquet of white and
    yellow rosebuds surrounding a white orchid.
    Miss Nelda Bishop was maid of honor, attired
    In turqnoise chiffon over taffeta. Her
    colonial bouquet was of white and yellow rose
    buds.
    Similarly attired was the' bridesmaid, Miss
    Sue Beck. Junior bridesmaid, Miss Linda Ann
    Blank, wore gown of coral chiffon over taffeta.
    Miss Jeannic Marie Gordineer and Miss Mary
    Ann Clerk were flower girls. They wore coral
    chiffon over taffeta, end carried chrysanthemums.
    Richard Hennemen wes best men, end ushers
    were Ronald Johnston and Frederick Blenk.
    The newlyweds left for e trip through the
    New England States. When they return, they
    will reside in Saunders Settlement Road, San
    born.
