    Notes:

    Burton D. Broecker, of Newfane, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield, on February 1, 1925, the son of the late Phillip and Lydia [Mittelstadt] Broecker.

    Mr. Broecker served his country in the US Navy, from 1943-1946. He was employed at Wurlitzer and later with Westinghouse in Buffalo, for over 37 years. Mr. Broecker was a life member of the Lutheran faith, most recently of Immanuel Lutheran. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Bills fan.

    Mr. Broecker is survived by his wife of 37 years Lorena G. [Fuerch] Broecker, they were married on March 31, 1978, three daughters Louise (Gary) Schildheauer of Bergholz, Barbara St. Onge of Lockport and Linda (Charles) DeDario of the Town of Cambria, seven grandchildren Major John (Debra) Shannon, April (Anthony) Threet, Brent (Tara) Schildhauer, Kathy (Tracy) Taylor, Jenna and Angela DeDario and Brooke St. Onge, one great granddaughter Natalya Shannon, three sisters Mildred and Phyllis Broecker and Shirley (Dewlyn) Arnold, one brother in law A.W. Moldenhauer, also many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Marie (late Dan Light) Shannon and brother of the late Lois Moldenhauer.

    His family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, Lockport, with the Rev. Kenneth Craig officiating, with military honors following.

    Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

    Charles J. Broecker, 82, of 1086 Falls boulevard, died yesterday afternoon after a prolonged illness. He was born in the town of Wheatfield where he resided until taking up his home in North Tonawanda two years and a half ago. He leaves a wife, Mary; five sons, Lewis Broecker, Bridgeport, Conn., Philip Broecker, North Tonawanda, Oscar and George Rosehardt, Buffalo, and Matt Rosehardt, Boston, MA.; six daughters, Mrs. Matilda Belling, Mrs. R. W. Goerss and Mrs. Henry Mann, North Tonawanda, Mrs. Robert Brown, Mrs. John Jevens and Mrs. Arthur Westenfelder, Buffalo; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Lutheran church at Bergholz. Rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, the Rev. Otto Bruss officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Bertha Mittelstaedt, 68 years old, died this morning at her home on the Shawnee road, town of Wheatfield. Her death followed a lingering illness. Born in Germany, Mrs. Mittelstaedt had resided in the town of Wheatfield for the past 48 years. She is survived by her husband, Charles; two daughters, Mrs. John Martin, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Philip Broecker, Wheatfield; two sons, William, Pendleton, and Charles, Jr., Wheatfield; sixteen grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Albert Broecker, Youngstown, N. Y., and Mrs. August Kroening, Wheatfield, and two brothers, William Dall, Niagara Falls, and Herman Dall, Youngstown. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. Paul's church, Martinsville, daylight saving time. The services will be conducted by Rev. F. A. Hinners and burial will be in the St. Paul's cemetery.

    Mr. William Dall, aged 77 years, died Saturday at his home in Bergholtz. He
    is survived by a wife, two sons, William and Herman Dall; three daughters,
    Mrs. Charles Mittlestaedt, Mrs. Albert Broeker and Mrs. Gust Kroening; three
    brothers, Mr. Fred Dall of Germany, Mr. John Dall of Canada and Mr. Fred
    Eggert of Bergholtz; one sister, Mrs. John Stolzenburg of Reed City, Mich.

    The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house
    and at 2:30 o'clock from the Lutheran Church, the Reverend Mr. Sparck
    officiating. Interment will be made in Bergholtz cemetery.
