    A very, pretty wedding was solemn-
    zed Tuesday evening at eight o'clock
    at the St. Matthew's Evangelical
    Lutheran church when Miss Lydia
    Regina Brauer and Elmer George
    H Goerss were married. Reverend Karl
    Frankenstein performed the double
    ring ceremony before an altar decor-
    ated with palms and ferns. Professor
    Karl Fischle played "March Poniifi-
    cale" by Gounod, for the processional
    and Mendelsohn's "Wedding March"
    for the recessional.
    The bride; who was given in marriage
    by her father, was gowned in
    ivory white satin de lyon with geor
    gette and a veil arranged in nun's
    fashion with orange blossome. .She
    m carried a shower bouquet of bridal
    roses, gypsophelia and lilies of the
    valley.
    Miss Esther Ruth Brauer. maid of
    honor, wore a gown of flowered sea-
    foam green georgette over orchid
    charmeuse satin with pale green
    marabou and Silver ribbon and car-
    ried a shower bouquet of pink Colum-
    bia roses and gypsophelia.
    The bridesmaids, Miss Anna Brauer,
    Miss Mary Knothe and. Miss Mildred
    Martin were gowned in crepe de chene
    with silver ribbon and marabou coresponding
    to the colors of their respective
    gowns Miss Anna Brauer in
    pink. Miss Knothe in corn color and
    Miss Martin in orchid. They carried
    shower bouquets of butterfly roses
    and prypsophelia.
    Herbert Goerss, brother of the
    groom, was best man and the grooms-
    men were Henry B. Demler. Ralph
    Klettke and Martin J. Brauer. brother
    of the bride. Dr. Benjamin Sprenger
    and Norman Goerss acted' as ushers.
    Mrs. Brauer was gowned in navy
    blue canton crepe with cream lace
    rnd wore a corsage of orchid sweet
    peas.
    Mrs. Goerss was gowned in black
    satin and crepe with lace, and wore a
    corsage of orchid sweet peas.
    Following the ceremony a wedding
    dinner was served to forty-five guests.
    The bride's table being centered with
    a beautiful wedding cake. Decorations
    were in pink and white throughout
    the house.
    Among the out of town guests were
    Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sprenger of
    Pittsburgh. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
    Klettke of Niagara Falls, Mr. and
    Mrs. George Steffen and Miss Ella
    Sprung of Lockport. and Miss Nora
    Lippert of Buffalo.
    Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Goerss will be
    at home at 115 Highland avenue after
    July 4

    GOERSS-William C. Goerss, 87, of 266 Wheatfield St., North Tonawanda, died Tuesday (May 31, 1960) in Buffalo, Erie County, NY Mr. Goerss was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. He was the husband of the late Wilhelmina Werth; father of Elmer G. Goerss and Herbert A. Goerss, both of Tonawanda, and Mrs. Benjamin A. (Eleanor) Sprenger of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother of Charles J. Witkop of North Tonawanda; grandfather of the Rev. William E. Goerss of St. Louis, MO., the Rev. Ronald G. Goerss of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Thomas Snyder of Philadelphia, Pa.; also survived by nine great grandchildren; five nieces, and three nephews. Services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. The Rev. Adolph Moldenhauer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 P.M. Mr. Goerss was a life member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Laymen's League.

    William Goerss Dies at Age 87
    William C. Goerss, 87, of 266 Wheatfield St., North Tonawanda, active in Niagara County Lutheran circles for many years, died yesterday in Buffalo.
    Mr. Goerss, a salesman who retired three years ago, was one of the oldest members of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He was a member of the church council for 25 years; a delegate to the Niagara County Church Extension Society since its founding; a member of the Lutheran Service Society, and a member of the Lutheran Layman's League.
    The Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, is in charge of arrangements.

    William married WERTH, Wilhelmina Caroline on 6 May 1897 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY.     Wilhelmina Witkopp, 77 years old, died suddenly last night at her home on the Ward road, town of Wheatfield. Death was attributed to heart disease, with which she had been ailing recently. Mrs. Witkopp's husband, John Witkopp, died in May. Mrs. Witkopp was born in Germany. For the past 56 years she had resided in the town of Wheatfield. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Otto Stoelting of Cambria and Mrs. Christian Hoffmeister of North Tonawanda; two sons, Carl Witkopp of St. Johnsburg and William C. Goerss, of North Tonawanda; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg. Rev. Walter Thiemecke will conduct the services and interment will be in the St. John's cemetery.

    Mrs. Augusta Werth, nee Krull, 61 years old wife of A. W. Werth of the

    Besides her husband, three daughters, Mrs. John Stange of St. Johnsburg,
