STRASSBURG – Mrs. Amelia R. Strassburg (nee Mavis), 80, of 90 Felton St., North Tonawanda, Thursday evening (July 12, 1956) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Warren Gordon of 477 Broad St., Tonawanda after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick C. Strassburg. Also surviving are another daughter, Vera Strassburg; two grandchildren, Warren Jr. and Linda; five sisters, Mrs. Amanda Werth, Mrs. Charles Hildebrandt, Mrs. Gust Demler, Mrs. William Walck and Mrs. Harry Knights, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Frettholf Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, where services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 3 in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. Paul Fretthold officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Amelia married STRASSBURG, Frederick William Christian in 1900 in New York. Frederick (son of STRASSBURG, Friedrich Wilhelm and WOLF, Caroline Friederike Wilhelmine) was born on 16 Dec 1873 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; died on 5 Jul 1954 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. 2. STRASSBURG, Amelia M was born on 14 Feb 1909 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; died on 27 Apr 1980 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Kenmore, Erie County, NY.

William P. Mavis, 83 years old, died
Friday at his home on the Kruger
road. St. Johnsbnrg. He was born In
Germany. For the past 79 years he
had resided in the town of wheat-
field. He is survived by his wife,
Rosalie; a son, Mortey Mavis, Wheatfield;
seven daughters, Miss Sidonla
Mavis, Wheatfleld, Mrs. Charles
Werth, Pekln, N. Y, .Mrs. Fred
Strassburg, Mrs. Edward Meyer, Gus-
tav Dernier and Mrs.,Charles Hildebrand,
Jr., all of North Tonawanda.

The funeral will be
held Sunday afternoon at the residence
and half An hour later at the
St. Peter's church on Oliver street.
