    DeVANTIER - Edwin E. DeVantier, 94, Thursday evening (March 14, 1985) at his home after a lengthy illness. Pre deceased by his wife, Lily L. (Haseley), he is survived by five children, Mrs. Hilda Grawe of Wheatfield, Franklin (Veronica) of North Tonawanda, Elton (Barbara), Melvin (Gail) and Mrs. Erich (Alice) Marzahl, all of Wheatfield, also survived by two sisters-in-law, Esther DeVantier and Viola
    Milleville, both of Wheatfield; fourteen grandchildren; eleven greatgrandchildren
    and many nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by one brother, Benjamin and one sister, Esther Haseley. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 8904 So. Military Rd Niagara Falls, Friday 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday (Mar. 17th) at 3 p.m. at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. John H.     SANBORN, - Adolph Pfohl, 76, of Lockport Road, died Monday (July 31,1989) at his home.
    Born in Wheatfield, he operated a farm on Lockport Road. He was a lifelong member of SI. Peter's Lutheran Church, a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau and a director of the Milk Cooperative for more than 10 years.
    Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Sciuk Himmelback Pfohl; a son; Calvin Pfohl; daughters, Marjorie Miller and Audrey Johnson, ail of Sanborn; a stepson, Laurence Himmelback of Ransomville; a stepdaughter, Jean Walck of the Town of Lewiston; a sister, Ella Mueller of Wheatfield; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, He was the husband of the late Margaret Warblow Pfohl and the brother of the late Henry Pfohl and Lily Retzlaff.
    Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road, with the Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Contributions to St. Peter's Lutheran Church are acceptable as tribute.

    Services for Adolph Pfohl, 76, a farmer and lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Pfohl died Monday (July 31, 1989) in his home on Lockport Road.
    He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau and, for more than 10 years, a director of the Milk Cooperative.
    His first wife, Margaret Warblow Pfohl, is deceased.

Was in good health until about April 1951, but soon improved; relapse around New Year's '52, and from last June on grew gradually weaker, heart trouble. One of the children found her lying dead in kitchen floor, died apparently preparing supper for the family when alone on the house. Survivors: husband, three children Calvin, Marjorie and Audrey; her parents; 3 sisters, Mrs. Henry Pfohl, Mrs. Frank Karre, Mrs. Robt. Eddy; 2 brothers, Norman and Herbert.

    NORTH TONAWANDA. June 9 -
    A very' pretty wedding was solemnised
    Saturday afternoon. June 3
    at 4 o'clock in St Marks Evangelical
    Lutheran church. Washington
    street, at North Tonawanda. when
    Miss Margaret V. Warblow, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Warblow,
    of 98 Washington street, became
    the bride of Adolph Pfohl. son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pfohl. of
    Lockport road The Rev Paul Freehold
    officiated in the presence of a
    large number of relatives and
    friends. The altar was decorated
    with lilacs, spirea, blue flags and
    palms.
    The "Wedding March" from Loh-
    engrin was played by Carl Koehnke.
    Before the ceremony, Arnold Jo-
    hannas sand in German, "Jesus Still
    Lead On" and in English, "O Per-
    fect Love."
    The bride wore a gown of white
    embroidered marquisite with net
    panels, a square neck line, puffed
    sleeves and a sweeping train. Her
    veil of illusion fell from a halo of
    flowers. Her shoes were white satin
    and she carried a bouquet of white
    sweetheart roses and baby breath
    tied with plain net.
    Miss Onolie Wythe was maid of
    honor and wore a gown of peach,
    marquisite marie with full bodice,
    square neckline and puffed sleeves.
    Miss Alice Retzlaff, niece of the
    groom, was bridesmaid. She wore
    blue marquisite made like the maid
    of honor. Both carried bouquets of
    yellow roses, snapdragons and baby
    breath.
    Herbert Warblow, brother of the
    bride, acted as best man with Wil-
    bert Ostwald as the other attendant.
    Norman Warblow and Henry
    Pfohl were ushers.
    Mrs. Warblow, mother of the
    brise, wore a light print crepe dress.
    Mrs. Pfohl, mother of the groom,
    also wore a light print crepe dress.
    Mrs Bertha Broker, grandmother
    of the bride, wore a black crepe and
    lace dress. All wore corsages of roses,
    sweetpeas and baby breath.
    The out-of-town guests were pres-
    ent from Tonawanda, North Tona-
    wanda and Niagara Falls
    Mr. and Mrs. Pfohl are making
    their home on Lockport road, San-
    born.

    tainments were given for the bride.

    Warblow, a bedroom shower by Miss

    by Mrs. Hen Pfohl.

    Glen P. Smith, a retired Olin Corp. employee, died Friday (Aug. 6, 1999) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. Smith was born in DuBois, Pa. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Smith worked for Olin for 30 years and had been working as a relief operator when he retired in 1983. He was a member of Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion. He was predeceased by two wives, the former Ruby Horn, who died in 1956, and the former Alice Heuer-Ferchen, who died in 1993. Smith is survived by three sons, Duane Ferchen of Wyoming, Neil Ferchen and Richard Smith, both of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Patricia Pfohl; two sisters, Annie Gonterio of Burlington, Iowa, and Ruby Lines; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private grave side services will be held by the family in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
