    Notes:

    Gail L. (Murphy) Wendt, age 66 of Sanborn, NY, went home peacefully to be with the Lord, on Tuesday August 30, 2005 surrounded by her loving husband and children, while at the CrestWood Health Care Center.
    She was born in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY on July 7, 1939, the daughter of Rosina Verrall Murphy of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY, and the late Bert Murphy, where she attended local schools. Gail was a graduate of the North Tonawanda High School in the Class of 1957. She had been employed in the offices of Spalding Fiber, Tonawanda; Twin-Ton, North Tonawanda; Jenss Bros., Niagara Falls; and the former Thiele's Diary, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.
    Gail was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Martinsville, where she had served as President of the Ladies Aid Society, a member of the Board of Christian Education; a member of the church choir; and had worked in the School cafeteria for many years.
    She was an avid reader who enjoyed being with her family, going traveling and camping.
    Surviving in addition to her mother Rosina Murphy is her husband of 45 years, Forrest W. Wendt; a daughter, Michele [ Otto III ] Fetterhoff, of Mountverde, FL; a son, Timothy [ Lynne ] Wendt, of Grand Island, Erie County, NY; a sister, Patricia Domagala, of East Amherst, Erie County, NY; four brothers: James Murphy and Roger Murphy, both of North Tonawanda; Douglas Murphy of Chautauqua Lake, NY and Paul Murphy, of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY; her special grandchildren, Philip and Megan Wendt; Hans and Alexander Fetterhoff; and many nieces and nephews.
    The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road, from 7 - 9 PM Wednesday and 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM, Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, with the Rev. Karl Heauseler, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.
    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Handicap Access Fund, 453 Old Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, 14120.

    Rosina S. (nee Verrall) (Murphy) Richert, age 94, of North Tonawanda, Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Seneca Health Care Facility, in West Seneca,surrounded by her loving family. Born in Thorold, Ontario, she had been a resident of North Tonawanda for more than 75 years and was the wife of Bert J. Murphy, former North Tonawanda Common Councilman and Niagara County Legislator, who died in 1981, and Louis Richert, who died in 1994; and was the mother of Gail Wendt, who died in 2005. Rosina was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Michael) Domagala of East Amherst and four sons, James R. Murphy of the Town of Wheatfield, Roger T. (Sharon) Murphy of North Tonawanda, Douglas (Jean) Murphy of Sherman, NY, and Paul (Mary Jo) Murphy of North Tonawanda; a son-in-law, Forrest Wendt of Sanborn, NY; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth (the late Bernard) Verrall of North Tonawanda. Rosina was predeceased by 12 siblings. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from 3-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.), in Tonawanda, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Thursday by the Rev. Karl Haeussler. Friends invited. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. A native of North Tonawanda, she was the sister of Herbert Dornfeld who died in 1975 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the Church. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Lurene M. Murphy; two sons, Bert J. (Rosina) Murphy and Thomas R. (Joan) Murphy, all of North Tonawanda ; three sisters , Mrs. E. L. Beightol of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. A. J. Danahy and Mrs. R. C. Robertson, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren and eight g r e a t grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Morgan and William Sts., Tonawanda where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Enno A. Schmoock. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
