Marie (nee Grawe) Reich, age 87, of Tonawanda, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at the Schofield Residence, after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Margaret (nee Reidel) Grawe and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Mrs. Reich was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tonawanda, and was the wife of the late Carlton W. Reich, who died in 1979.She is survived by three sons, William (Mary) Reich, John (Susan) Reich and Timothy Reich; and two granddaughters, Bethany (Nicholas) Scibetta and Rachael Reich; also surviving are many nieces and nephews and several cousins.Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Monday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday; the Rev. Keith Blom officiating. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery in Wheatfield. Herman J. Grawe, 61, of 65 Fredericka St. died suddenly Saturday afternoon while at work at the Buffalo Bolt Company, Division of Buffalo-Eclipse Corporation. Mr. Grawe was born in Johnsburg and had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, nee Riedel. He was the father of Mrs. Earl Janowsky, Allan, William, Mrs. Carlton Reitch, Herman Jr. and Mrs. Frank Alliger III; brother of Edward of Johnsburg, George of Nashville, Philippineslip, Benjamin and Walter of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Charles Neuman and Mrs. Ruth Pieper. Ten grandchildren also survive. Services will be Tuesday in the family residence at 2 P.M. and in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church at 2:30 P.M. The Rev. Paul H. Fretthold will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.

GRAWE – Margaret A. Grawe, 88, of North Tonawanda, Monday (September 5, 1983) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Grawe was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and St. Mark’s Seniors. She was the wife of the late Herman J. Grawe who died in 1952 and mother of the late Herman and Allan Grawe.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Mildred) Janowsky of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Marie Reich of Tonawanda and Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Alliger of Florida; a son, William (Doretta) Grawe of North Tonawanda; twelve grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Miss Mary Riedel of the Town of Wheatfield and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda Tuesday from 7 to 9 P.M., and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1 P.M., the Rev. Thomas K. Spahn will officiate. Interment in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.

GUSTAVE DRAWE DIES
Aged Town of Wheattleld Resident Passes after Brief Illness.
NORTH TONAWANDA, Oct. 24 - Gustave Drawe, 70 years old, a well known resident of the town of Wheatfield, died at his home in the Nash road this morning, following a brief illness. The deceased was born in Germany, but came to this country at the age of 18 and had lived in the town of Wheatfield since. He is survived by four sons and two daughters, Edward, Herman, and
Benjamin Drawe, and Mrs. Elsie Neumann, of North Tonawanda. Philip Drawe, of Tonawanda, and George and Walter Drawe and Mrs. Ruth Piper, of the town of Wheatfield. Thirty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral serevices will be held, from the home of his son, George, In the Nash road, Friday at 2 p. m., and at 2:30 p. m. from St. John's Evangelical church, St- Johnsburg. Interment will be in St. Johnsburg cemetery.

Ernestine (daughter of PANKOW, Christian Frederick and ELLMAN, Sophia Friedericke) was born on 12 Sep 1862 in Rothenklempenow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany; died on 16 Jul 1931 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. Ernestine Grawe, 68, of the Nash Road, Town of Wheatfield, died this morning at her home. Born in Germany, Mrs. Grawe came to this country and the Town of Wheatfield 62 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Gustave Grawe, two daughters, Mrs. Charles Neumann of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Arthur Peiper, town of Wheatfield; six sons, Edmund, George, and Walter, of the town of Wheatfield; Herman and Benjamin of North Tonawanda, and Phillip of Tonawanda. Mrs. Grawe leaves also 35 grandchildren, one great grandchild, three sisters, Mrs. Jacob Kline, town of Wheatfield, Mrs. William Achterburg, town of Pendleton, an Mrs. AIbert Broecker of Pekin.
The funeral will be held Sunday at two o'clock from the late residence and 2:30 from St. John's church, St. Johnsburg, the Rev. Walter Thiemecke officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnsburg cemetery.
