Norman Ziehm, 12 years old, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Ziehm of the
Herrick road, town of Wheatfield, left
his home at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon
to fish in the Sawyer's creek,
half a mile from his home. His body
was taken from the stream at 2 o'clock
    yesterday morning, following a" search
that started early in the evening.
Coroner J. E. Helwig, who was called,
said that the lad was subject to
epileptic fits. It was thought that he
fell into the stream and was drowned
while stricken with one of his
    spells.
The boy went fishing in a hole on
the creek where the stream passes
through the farm of Henry Moll. He
had fished there before and his family
did not manifest any uneasiness over
his return until darkness came. Inquiries
    at houses in the neighbor-
hood failing to disclose any trace of
the boy, belief that he had fallen
into the creek and drowned began to
    gain strength.
Many devices were secured and the
stream dragged until one of the search
ers, operating a garden rake, hooked
j onto the clothing of the boy and he
    was pulled ashore.
The funeral will be held tomorrow
afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late
residence an half an hour later from
St. John's Church. St. Johnsburg, Rev.
