LICHT - Clarence H. "Clem" Age 89, of North Tonawanda, formerly of the City of Tonawanda, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2015, under the care of Hospice, surrounded by his family and his pastor. Clem married the former Ruby I. Mueller on August 7, 1948 and they celebrated their 66th Anniversary this past year. In addition to Ruby, he is survived by three children Jeffrey (Susan) Licht, Susan Cosentino and Amy (Edward) Baker; grandchildren Kelly (Daniel) Flynn, Elizabeth (Craig) Hooftallen, Timothy Licht and Andrea (Justin) Gentzke; great-grandchildren Hannah Flynn, John Hooftallen and Aidan Flynn; brother Alan (Jean) Licht and many beloved nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday, February 28 from 6-8 PM and Sunday, March 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St., (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 2 at 10 AM in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church are appreciated by the family. Clem was born November 17, 1925 to Clarence and Margaret (nee Braeges) Licht in Tonawanda. He was baptized and confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tonawanda. After graduating from Tonawanda High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17 and served during WW-II abroad the USS Kennebec in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. Clem always enjoyed recounting his experiences in the Navy. He attended RIT for Commercial Art before starting and serving as co-owner of L&M Television Store in the Tonawandas. He went on to become the Sales Manager for Gold Star Real Estate and later worked for 19 years as a District Representative for Aid Association for Lutherans, a Fraternal Benefit Society, before retiring in 1991. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda for all of his adult life, serving in a variety of leadership rolls. He was also the oldest member of Rescue Fire Company No. 5. Throughout his long life, Clem enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, traveling the country and camping vacations. He was an accomplished artist and wood carver and he loved writing poetry for special occasions. He enjoyed working in his garage and basement workshops, spending time with his family and friends, and was always there to help family with home repairs and projects.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ruby was a 1948 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a member of the Women of St. Paul and served on the Altar Guild and Flower Committee. Ruby completed her working career at ChemFab Corporation.

Mrs. Margaret Licht, nee Braegas, 31 years old, 521 Morgan street, died last night at the DeGraff Memorial hospital after a short illness. Born in Germany, she had resided in Tonawanda for the past 28 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church. She leaves a husband, Clarence; two sons, Allan and Clarence; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Braegas; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Newman, Mrs. William Koepsell, Miss Lucille Braegas, and three brothers, William, Carl and Frederick Braegas, all of the Tonawandas. Funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the residence, Rev. F. O. Scholz will officiate.

A quiet but very pretty wedding was
solemnized Saturday evening, November
4 , at the parsonage of the German
Lutheran. Church, when Miss Margaret
Braegas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Braegas of Kohler street, was
united in marriage to Clarence H.
Licht of Niagara street, Rev. F. Otto
Scholz officiating. The attendants
were Miss Marguerite Gratton and
Raymond Malchow. The bride and
her attendant were dressed alike in
brown canton crepe and carried bou
quets of bride roses.. Following the
ceremony, a reception was held at
the home of the bride's parents,, about
fifty guests being present. Mr.. and
Mrs.. Licht will be at home in Koh-
ler street.

MUELLER - Clarence E. Mueller, 69, of 24 Fillner Ave., North Tonawanda,
Monday (Sept. 21, 1964) after a brief illness. Mr. Mueller was a lifelong
resident of North Tonawanda and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rescue
Fire Company and the Firemen's Benevolent Association. Beloved husband of
Elsie (nee Peter); father of Mrs. Myron (Pearl) Behnke, Mrs. Donald (Frieda)
Scott and Mrs. Clarence (Ruby) Licht, all of North Tonawanda; grandfather of
nine grandchildren; brother of Mrs. Ella Wurl of North Tonawanda;
half-brother of Edgar Stolzenburg of North Tonawanda; step-brother of Albert
and August Stolzenburg of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Rose Hoffmeister, Mrs. Ida
Behrens, Mrs. Sophia Radloff and Miss Anna Stolzenburg, all of Lockport, and

TONAWANDA, Oct. 21 - Herman C. Licht, 64 years old, died suddenly yesterday at his home, 38 North Niagara street. He was removed from the DeGraff Memorial Hospital to his home Wednesday night, apparently well on the road to recovery from an operation. Stricken with a heart attack during the night, he succumbed a few hours later. Surviving are four sons, Reuben, Edward, Clarence, and Harold, all of Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. John Crowley, Zolfo, Fla., and Mrs. Henry Rebman, Tonawanda; three brothers, Otto, Sanborn, and Albert and Frank, Tonawanda and 30 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home. The Rev. Robert J. Noble, Cowlesville, and the Rev. Harold O. Clark, pastor of the Broad Street Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Elmlawn.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Wurl, of North Tonawanda, two sons, Clarence Mueller and Edgar Stolzenburg, both of North Tonawanda. Three stepsons, August, Julius and Albert Stolzenburg, all of North Tonawanda. Four step-daughters, Mrs. Sophia Radloff, Mrs. Rose Hoffmeister, Mrs. Herman Behrens, and Miss Anna Stolzenburg, all of Lockport. Twenty-two grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 P.M. from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Wurl, 6 Fillner street, and at 2:30 P.M. from St. Paul's Lutheran church, 453 Falls Blvd., Rev. F. A.
