Jacob Gaul, 75 Years a Kesident

TONAWANDAS, Deo. 8.—Jacob P.
Gaul, aged 78 years, died yesterday
at bla home, 164 Falconer street, alter
a lingering illness. Born In Germany,
Mr, Gaul spent most o* the 75 years
wnlch ne lived ta. this country In
North Tonawanda and vicinity with
the exception of a few years spent in
Michigan.
He is survived by a wife, Anna R.
Paul; 'seVeii sohs, Arthur Gaul, of
Flint, Mich.;; Henry Gaul, ot Bedford,
?Ore;; Fred -Gaul: ot Aahland,'
Wis.; Charles Gaul ot Detroit, Mich.;
Elmer Gaul of Buffalo, and Alfred
and Walter Gaul of North Tonawanda;
four daughters, -Mrs. Warren
Smoyer, of:North Tonawandaj Mrs.
George Reeves, North Tonawahda;
Mrs. Otto Fiatau, North Tonawanda,
and Mrs.' Maurice McCarthy of Philadelphia!
two brothers, Fred Gaul of
Grand Rapids, Mich, and William
Gaul of 'Lochport; four sisters, Mra,
Elizabeth Graf, of Loc&portV Mrs
Andrew Tembrock. ot Pendleton,
Mrs, sophte Compton, of Buffalo, and
Mrs. Henry Pils of LaSalle; and
eight grandchUdren.
The funeral will be held Friday
afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home
and a half hour later from St. Matt-
hew's church. Rev. Carl Frankenstein
officiating. The funeral at the home
will be private. Interment will be in
Elmlawn.
