GASPORT - A farmer of the
Gasport area for 50 years, William
Genet, 77, died this morning
(Nov. 22, 1961) at the O'Stewart
Nursing Home in Gasport.
Born in North Tonawanda June
17, 1884, he was the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Genet.
Mr. Genet was a member of the
Vion Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Gasport.
He was married to Josephine
Schmidt Genet, who died March
1, 1957.
Surviving him are two daughters,
Mrs. Walter Seelbinder of
Gasport and Mrs. George Schneider
of Buffalo; three sisters, Mrs.
John Strassburg; Mrs. Joseph
Doyle and Miss Emma Genet; two
brothers Charles and Otto Genet,
all of North Tonawanda; several
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Bream
Funeral Home, Main Street, Gasport,
beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday
and on Friday from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will
be held there Saturday at 2 p.m.
and at 2:30 at the Vion Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Gasport.
The Rev. Paul Nemeschy will officate.
Burial will be in Hartland Central
Cemetery.

William married SCHMIDT, Josephine Emilie Wilmine Albertine about 1906 in Medina, Orleans County, NY. Josephine (daughter of SCHMIDT, Johann Carl Wilhelm and GOMBERT, Albertine Caroline Emilie) was born on 27 Sep 1887 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; died on 1 Mar 1957 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. 1. GENET, Esther Viola was born about 1908 in New York; and died.
2. GENET, Evelyn E was born about 1910 in New York; and died.

Albert married REICK, Christina in 1877 in Prussia. Christina was born in Feb 1854 in Prussia; died on 20 Jan 1930 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

MRS. CHRISTINA GENET
Mrs. Christina Genet, 75 years old,, died this morning at her home, 293 Stenzil street. M,rs.Genet was born in Germany. She had resided in North Tonawanda for the past 49 years. She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran church on Washington street. Surviving are a husband, Albert; four daughters, Mrs. William Brauer, Mrs. John Strassburg, Mrs. Joseph Doyle and Miss Emma Genet, North Tonawanda;, five sons, Herman. Lockport, August and William, Gasport. and Charles and Otto, North Tonawanda; 38 grandchildren and two grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later from the St. Mark's church, Rev. Paul Fretthold officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mark's cemetery.
