Deceased Name: LINCOLN - Ermel V. Riggs LINCOLN - Ermel V. Riggs, 92, of Lincoln, a homemaker and retired farmer, died at 6:10 P.M. Thursday (Dec. 22, 1994) at Lincoln Christian Village.
Her funeral will be at 11 A.M. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, the Rev. Marianna Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, rural Mount Pulaski. Visitation will be two hours before the service Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riggs was born Feb. 2, 1902, at Calhoun County, a daughter of Abraham and Emma Heath Kutz. She married Howard M. Riggs. Aug. 11, 1920, at Peoria. He died March 30, 1989.
Survivors include one son, Aaron P. Riggs, Mount Pulaski; three daughters, VA Casto, Roseville, Mich.; and Evelyn Kapik and Dorothy Haseley, both of Lincoln; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. One son, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Riggs farmed in the Chestervale area with her husband until their retirement in 1987.
Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Village or a charity of the donor's choice.
