    Deceased Name: NORMAN J. LAPRESS Norman J. LaPress, 68, who sold insurance for the John Hancock Life Insurance Co. for several years, died Saturday (June 16, 2001) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after an illness of seven years.
    A Niagara Falls native, LaPress earned a degree in business administration from Niagara County Community College. He also earned a degree in business administration and marketing from Niagara University.
    LaPress was a Korean War-era Army veteran, based in France.
    He also was a manager for the Fuller Brush Co. for several years.
    Survivors include his wife of 28 years, the former Marie Haseley of Youngstown; two sons, James N. and George H., both of Youngstown; a daughter, Pamela of Florida; two brothers, Donald of Ransomville and Charles of Niagara Falls; a grandson; and a step granddaughter.
    Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Wheatfield

    was baptized in May of 1933. Norman was confirmed at St. Peter's on April 7, 1974. He married Marie Elaine ( Haseley) on August 12,1972. He has two sons, James N . and George H .
    Norman served in the U.S. Army in France during the
    Korean Conflict. He was a manager for the Fuller Brush
    Company and sold various types of insurance for the John
    Hancock Life Insurance Company. Norman was called to his eternal home on Saturday June16,2001. He is survived by his wife, Marie, two sons, James and George, two brothers, Donald and Charles. He is also survived by a grandson, step-granddaughter and several
    nieces and nephews.

    NIAGARA FALLS — Marie E. (nee Haseley) Lapress, 74, of Youngstown, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY, following a brief illness. Born on October 25, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Myra Haseley.

    In 1972, Mrs. Lapress married Norman J. Lapress. He predeceased her in 2001. Throughout her life, Marie was primarily a homemaker. She attended St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn, NY, as well as Messiah Lutheran Church in Lewiston, NY. Mrs. Lapress enjoyed puzzles, reading, crossword puzzles, music and watching baseball.

    Mrs. Lapress is survived by two sons, Jamie Lapress of Niagara Falls, NY and George Lapress of Youngstown, NY; two brothers, Harold Haseley of the Town of Niagara, NY and Duane Haseley of Sanborn, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday, July 24th from 4-7 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where a funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Pat Fleming officiating.

    YOUNGSTOWN - Lyla Helen LaPress 71 of 1729 Harrison Lane, died Sunday (Dec, 4, 1977) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Niagara Falls and lived in Lewiston for 13 years and in Youngstown for the last 14 years. She was a former employee of the Shredded Wheat Co. and was a member of St Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. She was the wife of the late Charles P. LaPress, who died in 1954. Surviving are three sons, Norman of Youngstown, Charles of Niagara Falls, and Donald of Ransomville; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Allen and Mrs. Norman (Betty) Mulholland, both of Niagara Falls, and four brothers, Angus Reid of Niagara Falls, Daniel Reid of Ransomville, Donald Reid of Orman (sic) Beach, Fla., and James Reid. Also surviving are nine grandchildren. Mrs. LaPress was the sister of the late Joseph Reid. Funeral services will be held at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Inc., Michigan Avenue at 10th Street in Niagara Falls Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., and in St. Bernard's Church, Youngstown, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Riverdale Cemetery. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

    LEWISTON - Norman W.G. Haseley, 89, of Saunders Settlement Road, died Monday (Oct. 7, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
    He was born Dec. 18, 1906, in Lewiston, the son of Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley.
    On Nov. 16, 1932, he married Myra Haseley. She died in April 1956.
    He was a produce farmer all of his life. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, Mr. Haseley served as trustee.
    Survivors include two sons, Harold Haseley and Duane Haseley, both of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Marie LaPress of Youngstown; six brothers, Marcus Haseley, William Haseley and Benjamin Haseley, all of Sanborn, Wallace Haseley, Richard Haseley and Albert Haseley, all of Wheatfield; a sister, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was the brother of the late Esther Beutel and was also predeceased by a great-grandson.
    Visitation Will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. David B. Menz will conduct services at noon Thursday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.
    Memorials may be made to the Entrance Fund or the Sound System Fund at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

    SANBORN - Mrs. Myra H. Haseley, 44, of Saunders Settlement Rd., died today (April 5, 1956) in Rosewell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo, after a long illness.
    Born in the Town of Wheatfield July 10, 1911, Mrs. Haseley was the daughter of the late George A. and Helena Lang (sic) Haseley. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, Walmore. She is survived by her husband, Norman W. Haseley; two sons, Harold N. and Duane A. Haseley; a daughter, Marie E. Haseley; and an aunt, Miss Ella Haseley, all at home; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the home after noon Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 p.m. Sunday and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church by the Rev. Martin Pempeit. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

    Albert P. Haseley Dies at 70 Years
    SANBORN, Feb. 6-Albert P. Haseley, 70 years old, husband of Mrs. Anna Ferchen Haseley, died yesterday at the family home in the Saunders Settlement road.
    Mr. Haseley was a farmer all his life and was actively engaged in operating his farm until ill health prevented about a year ago. Previous to this he had taken an active interest in Sanborn village affairs. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church at Walmore and was formerly active in its organizations.
    Besides his wife, Mr. Haseley is survived by seven sons, Norman, Marcus, Wallace, William, Richard, Benjamin and Albert, all of Sanborn: two daughters, Lydia Haseley and Mrs. Irwin Beutel, of Sanborn; three grandchildren, four brothers and seven sisters, all of this vicinity.
    Funeral services will be held from the family home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 at St. Peter's Lutheran church at Walmore. The Rev. Edward A. Grabau will officiate and interment will be in the Walmore cemetery.

    A native of Bergholz, she lived in the Sanborn area most of her life. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her husband, Albert P. Haseley, predeceased her.
    She is survived by seven sons, Norman Haseley of Niagara Falls, Marcus, William Benjamin and Albert Haseley, all of Sanborn, Wallace and Richard Haseley , both of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Lydia Stoelting of Niagara Falls; 32 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 P.M. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn from 7 to 9 P.M. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday.
    Contributions to Lutheran Vespers are acceptable as tribute, the family said.

Recovered enough to be up and around, but full strength never returned. Last illness continued for 8 weeks, began with a stroke, lingered in great weakness for many weeks, longer than Aug. Walck (preceding). Survivors: 1 daughter Myra (Mrs. Norman Haseley), 3 grandchildren: Harold, Marie and Duane Haseley; 3 sisters: Mrs. Ida Pfohl, Miss Ella Haseley (Louise Eleonore Friedericke), Mrs. Rudolph C.
