    Services for Samuel W. Salt, a former superintendent at Kimberly-Clark Corp., will be conducted at 11 A.M. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church, Cayuga Drive and Pershing Avenue. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
    Salt, 83, of Munson Avenue, died Friday (April 12, 1991) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
    A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, he worked at Kimberly-Clark for 36 years until he retired in 1970 as superintendent of Mill 2. He also had been an assistant pro at Niagara Falls Country Club.
    Salt was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where he ushered nearly every Sunday and was a member of the Church Council.
    Survivors include his wife, the former Olive Luick; a son, John W. of Windsor; a daughter, Marlene Morazzano of Hilton Head, S.C., and six grandchildren.

    Olive L. Salt, 99, a former Niagara Falls resident, died Wednesday (July 9, 1997) in Hilton Head Medical Center, Hilton Head, S.C., after a brief illness.
    Mrs. Salt, formerly of Munson Avenue, was born Olive Luick in Niagara Falls and lived in the area until 61/2 years ago
    She worked for many years for New York Telephone, leaving as a supervisor shortly before the birth of her first child.
    Mrs. Salt had been a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
    Her husband, Samuel, died in 1991.
    She is survived by a son, John W. of Windsor; a daughter, Marlene Morazzano of Hilton Head; a sister, Edna Nevling of Gulfport, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church, Cayuga Drive and Pershing Avenue.

    Mrs. Luick, 85, Longtime Falls Resident.
    Mrs. Emily Luick, 85, of 1110 92nd St, a native of Germany and resident of this, city for the last 82 years, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years. Mrs. Luick arrived in the LaSalle section in 1873 at the "age of three with her four brothers and three sisters. She had lived at the 92nd St. home since her marriage to Jack Luick in 1893. Her husband was a constable for 30 years. Her father farmed land near Pine Ave, Blvd. and the 94th St. bridge. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Shomers Sr., Mrs. Samuel Salt, Mrs. Simon Frawley, this city; Mrs. Vaughn Nevling, Madera, Pa.; four sons, Elmer Luick, John Luick, Fred Luick and Carl Luick, all this city; 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be. held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home and at 2 pm. at the church, with the Rev. Lawrence E. Herfurth, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery.

    ELIZABETH LUICK, ONE OF NIAGARA PIONEERS, IS CLAIMED BY DEATH
    Ill Since Christmas, Resident of City 72 Years, Dies at Home of Daughter.
    Death today claimed one of the pioneer's of the Niagara frontier in the person of Mrs. Elizabeth Luick, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Anthony P. Spitzig, at 910 Morley avenue. She had been ailing since Christmas and has failed rapidly within the last few weeks. Mrs. Luick, who was 88 years old, came to this country from Germany when a young girl. She was Elizabeth Geltz. She married Jacob Luick and has lived in La Salle for the past 72 years. Mrs. Luick was a member of the La Salle Lutheran church and was always interested in its welfare. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anthony Spitzig, of this city, and Mrs. Henry V. Meahl. Akron, N. Y.; three sons, Leonard J., Albert and Jacob, all of this city. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the Spitzig home, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. George Hoyer officiating. Interment will be in Whitmire cemetery.
