    Notes:

    Mildred L. (Young) MaGinn, 84, of Niagara Falls, found eternal peace on Friday December 4, 2009 following a brief illness. She was born in Buffalo, NY, on July 3,1925, a daughter of the late John and Esther (Young) Moebius. She attended area schools. On February 7, 1945, she married Harold MaGinn in Trinity Old Lutheran Church, Buffalo, NY. Mrs. MaGinn was a long time and active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and sang in its' choir, member of the Women of the Church and served with the alter committee. She was an avid quilter. Survivors include her beloved husband, Harold; two sons, Rev. Douglas MaGinn (Karen) of St. Clair, MI and David MaGinn of Niagara Falls; a brother, Rev. John (Edith) Moebius of Hickory, NC; a sister, Jean Milleville of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Mark MaGinn (Lynnae) of Dublin, OH, Michael MaGinn (Amy) of Upper Sandusky, OH, Matthew MaGinn (Tara) of Murfreesboro, TN and Michele Hjelm (Chris) of Reno, NV; seven great grandchildren, Courtney, Alec, Taylor, Ashleigh, Aaron, Sophia and Ava. Friends may call Monday from 2-4, 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 AM in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cleveland Avenue and 18th Street, Niagara Falls, with the Rev. David Hoecker officiating.     Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Mildred Moebius) MaGinn of Niagara Falls celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a party at the Alps Chalet. Mr. MaGinn retired from the Foster Brothers Furniture Co., Buffalo. Mrs. MaGinn retired from Occidental Chemical Co. They were married Feb. 7, 1945, at Trinity Old Lutheran Church, Buffalo. They have two sons .and four grandchildren

    Trinity Old Lutheran church, in
    Brunswick boulevard, Buffalo, was
    the scene of a pretty evening wed-
    ding February 7 when Miss Mildred
    L. Moebius, daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. John Moebius, of 326 Northamp-
    ton street, Buffalo, became the
    bride of Sergeant Harold G. Ma-
    Ginn, son of Mr. and Mrs. George
    MaGinn, of 2851 North avenue. The
    Rev. Herman C. Damm, pastor of
    the church, performed the ceremony.
    The bride was lovely in a gown
    fashioned with a white satin bodice
    and white net skirt with a long
    train. Her fingertip veil was caught
    with a cluster of orange blossoms
    and she carried white roses.
    The bride's sister, Miss Jean M.
    Moebius, wor powder blue net with
    a taffeta bodice and was maid of
    honor. Three Niagara Falls girls
    were bridesmaids: Miss Phyllis
    Wendt, Miss Bernice Millville and
    Miss Edith Buerger who wore pink
    net and taffeta and carried pink
    rotes. Miss Lang sang T h e Lord's

    Prayer^ and "Oh, Perfect Love"
    The bride's mother wore navy bme
    with matching accessories and the
    bridegroom's mother wore a black
    dress and black accessories. Their
    corsages were gardinias.
    Mr. Leonar Schultz, of Eigh-
    teenth street, was best man and
    Mr. Walter Holland and Mr. Donald
    Woellner, uncles of the bridegroom
    and residents of this city, were ush-
    ers.
    After the ceremony a reception
    for 150 guests was helld at the Boreal
    club. The couple left for a trip
    through Eastern New York, for
    which the bride selected a fuchsia
    wool suit, a fur-trimmed coat and
    black accessories with a corsage of
    gardinias.
    Sergeant McGinn will return to
    his station in Spokane, Wash., and
    Mrs. MaGinn will make her tempo-
    rary residence with her parents in
    Buffalo.

    John E. Moebius, 77, Town of
    Tonawanda, died Monday
    (July 24, 1972).
    He is survived by his widow,
    Esther Young Moebius; a son,
    the Rev. John C. Moebius, of
    History, N.C.; two daughters,
    Mrs. Harold (Mildred) McGinn
    and Mrs. Erwin (Jean)
    Milleville, both of Niagara
    Falls; a sister, Mrs. Dora Yost
    of Florida; and two brothers,
    Chester Moebius of Florida and
    William Moebius of Buffalo. He
    was the brother of the late
    Charles Moebius. He is also
    survived by 10 grandchildren
    and two great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at Trinity Old Lutheran
    Church, Sheridan Drive and
    Larch Road, Tonawanda,
    Thursday at 2 p.m.

    Harry A. Widekindt Funeral
    Home, 280 Grover Cleveland
    Highway at North Bailey,
    Buffalo, Tuesday and Wednesday
    from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to
    9 p.m.
