NIAGARA FALLS —
Betty J. (Sisney) Marielle, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony "Kubby" and Sylvia (Peters) Colucci.
Betty moved to the Niagara Falls area as a child with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948. Betty was a longtime member of the former Sacred Heart Church prayer group in Niagara Falls. She had a love for her pet animals and music, especially Disco. Above all, Betty was devoted to her family and adored her grandchildren.
Mrs. Marielle is survived by her two children, Tanis (Brian) Walck and Joseph A. (Debbie) Marielle, both of Niagara Falls, NY. She was the beloved Grammy to Staci (Tim) Licht, Dustin (Mary Etta Lewis) Walck, Marla (Joe Barrancotta) Walck and Jennifer Marielle; great-grandmother of Aryanna Licht; sister of Marvin (Nancy) Sisney and Marlene (late Edward) Clark, both of Niagara Falls, NY. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 4th at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
