    Casimer J. "Casey" Zygmont, 88 years old, of the Town of Niagara, died January 20, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Niagara Falls on February 18, 1920, the son of the late George and Josephine Zygmont. Mr. Zygmont attended St. Mary's High School and attended St. Bonaventure University for one year before enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps. He served his country from August 31, 1942 until his honorable discharge on October 2, 1945, with the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars, the Distinguished Unit Citation with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Good Conduct Medal. He served as the Town of Niagara Town Justice for 42 years, retiring in 1992. He was employed as a Lab Technician for 30 years at the former Kimberly Clark Corp. and retired in 1975. Mr. Zygmont also served on the Town of Niagara Town Board for 10 years. He was a member of St. Leo's Church. Mr. Zygmont's family was everything to him. He enjoyed spending his time bird watching, gardening and swimming.Mr. Zygmont is survived by his wife, Philippinesomena Phyllis(Pasqualichio) Zygmont of the Town of Niagara and his sons, Jeffrey (Donna) Zygmont of Salem, NH and Casey Zygmont of Santa Rosa, CA. He is survived by his grandchildren, Erik Zygmont, Greta Zygmont Wilson and Sarah Stack and his great-grandchildren, Madeleine Zygmont, John Wilson and Francis Stack. He is also survived by his sister, Genevieve Cantara of Rochester, Monroe County, NY. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Zygmont; his grandson, Casimer Zachary Zygmont and his sisters, Jeanette Luszczewski and Bernice Walas. Friends may call on Friday from 1 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent dePaul Parish at St. Leo's, 2748 Military Road, with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery

    the former Miss Phyllis Pasqualichio,
    Sixteenth street, daughter of
    Mr. Vincent Pasqualichio, Armory
    place. Mr. Zygmont is the son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Josephine Zygmont,
    Hyde Park boulevard. The couple
    was married at St. Teresa of the
    Infant Jesus church by the Rev.
    John Ryan. They motored to-
    W a s h i ngton. D.C., for their
    honeymoon and now are residing
    at 4013 Hvde Park boulevard.

    Funeral services for George Zygmont.
    57 years old. 4013 Hyde Park
    boulevard. Town of Niagara, will be
    held Friday morning at 9 30 o'clock
    in the home and at 10 o'clock in St.
    Stanislaus Kostka church. Twenty-
    fourth street, with burial In Holy
    Trinity cemetery
    Mr. Zygmont died while at work
    in the Niagara Smelting corporations
    plant. Lewiston road, yesterday
    afternoon. Dr. Harry R. Ernes,
    coroner, said an autopsy disclosed
    that death was due to coronary
    thrombosis, a heart ailment. Yesterday
    morning Zygmont had worked
    unloading a car of salt and was
    stricken after he returned to work

    lunch
    A native of Poland. Mr Zygmont
    had lived for 26 years at the Hyde
    Park boulevard address. He had
    been employed in the smelting
    company's shipping department for
    12 years. He was a member of T
    Michael Archangel Lodge Z. P. R
    K. .Surviving are his wife. Josephine
    three daughters. Jeanette,
    Mrs Bernice Walas and Genevieve,
    and a son. Casimir. and two grandchildren,
    all of this city. A brother.

    Justice of the Peace Casey
    Zygmont, died Friday (June
    10, 1960) at the home of her
    daughter, Mrs. Walter Luszczewski,
    2941 Nevada Ave*. .
    Born in Poland, Mrs. Zygmont
    was a resident of the
    Town of Niagara for more
    than 50 years. She lived at
    4013 Hyde Park Blvd., for 48
    years before her illness two
    years ago.
    She was a member of Group
    No. 606, Polish Women's Alliance
    of America; Group No.
    276, St. Michael's Polish Rc~
    man Catholic Union of America;
    and of the Holy Rosary
    Society of St. Stanislaus Kostka
    Church, Niagara Falls. She
    also was a member of other
    civic and c h u r c h organizations.
    In addition to her son and
    daughter, survivors include
    two o t h e r daughters, Mrs.
    Walter Walas, Wilson, and
    Mrs. Leonard Cantara, Lewiston;
    eight grandchildren, one
    great grandchild, and several
    nieces and nephews. Two sisters
    and a brother also survive
    in Poland.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 0:45 a.m. Tuesday at the
    Tubinis Funeral Home, Niagara
    Falls, and at 9:30 a.m. at
    St. Teresa of the I n f a nt
    Jesus Church where a Solemn
    Requiem Mass will be offered.
    Burial will be In the
    family plot in Holy Trinity
    Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home after 1 p.m. Sunday.
