On June 15, 1952, she was married to Howard M. Stroble, whom she had met in 1949 on Mount Rainier while both were on a post-convention tour of the National Luther League convention. They moved to Muscatine, Iowa, where Howard served his intern year at Zion Lutheran Church and Judy continued with secretarial work. At her daughter's urging, she wrote "Wasn't it amazing, Judy Grace," which included the story of her German and French-Huguenot (Protestant) background, highlights of their years in the various churches, and favorite recipes she collected along the way. Her cinnamon rolls were the best! Judy is survived by her son, Kevin Luther Stroble, of Marion and her daughter, Ruth Jeannine Roberts, of Moriarty, NM.
